Bosch 1600's (rx7store.net)

Are the 1600cc injectors that rx7store.net sells low impedence or high impedence?

rx233 02-19-03 09:57 PM

THEY ARE LOW INDEPENDENCE

lovemyseven 02-19-03 11:38 PM

I had the stock primaries replaced with 850cc injectors by rotary performance. they highly recommended against the large 1600 cc secondary upgrade

racedriver 02-20-03 12:41 AM

did they say why? A lot of people have had good results!

nocab72 02-20-03 08:00 AM

lovemyseven - I've heard many more challenges dealing with 850cc primaries than with 1600cc secondaries... :)

I've been running 550/1600 for quite a while with no problems with PFC and 10Ohm, 20Watt resistors. I've got a set of 550cc primaries bored to 850cc I'll be installing soon.

I 'm running 1100 and 1600cc secondary , so far it idle nicely. going to get it tune next week. motor has about 250 miles on it.

racedriver 02-21-03 12:56 AM

hey nocab. Are you able to get a base map for my gt35/40 setup. I should be ready to fire the car up soon.

rotarygod 02-21-03 10:41 AM

low independence? haha!!! You mean low impedance!

RichsRotary 02-22-03 07:13 PM

any one with a map for the 550 1600 with a 60-1 plese let me know... i have a datalogit

Suds7 02-22-03 11:25 PM

thanks for jacking my thread :)

what about mixing low impedence and high impedence injectors and haltech?

rxrotary2_7 02-23-03 08:05 AM

yes you can do it. each injector is on its own driver so haltech doesnt care.

Suds7 02-23-03 08:41 PM

thanks rxrotary :)

Why don't people use the 1680cc injectors from Marren Motorsports? (www.injector.com) $75/ea as opposed to $100+

Reason is you need to get aftermarket rail, and you need to run stand alone like haltech or power fc with a resistor. ended up costing a lot more money .

Do these Bosch injectors fit into the stock secondary injector rail?

3rdGen7 03-01-03 06:03 PM

I got a set of 1600's from XS Eng and they were a bitch to put in.. they never seated off at all...and yep, broke off the tip of the fuel diffuser thingy and it still couldn'd go far down..they just sorta' dangled there.. I had to make bosses out of teflon for both the top and bottom of th einjectors to get them to work.. then i put in my Cosmo pump to pressure test the system and found out the NEW pump was faucked ! ARGGG..when will it end !

The ones I got from XS were black with RC on it.

DavidR 03-01-03 11:18 PM

I was thinking of having RC bore out my stock injectors. Can they be bored out this big?

singleturbofd 03-02-03 12:15 AM

RC injectors will bore up to 1300cc only from your stock secondary. i have the bosch 1600cc on the k2rd rail, fit prefectly. which rail did you use?

And this is not the case with the rx7store.net Bosch 1600cc injectors?

you need an aftermarket rail for any top feed injector if you are doing it to an FD. something like this https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=162060
i have seen people rig up their stock rail to work... but it looks like poop imo.

racedriver 03-03-03 01:09 AM

I just installed my kdr fuel rail and now my car won't run for more than a second. I am using a fuel pressure regulator from a 86 ish rx7. Could this be a problem?

singleturbofd 03-03-03 01:18 AM

you need an adjustable unit like a sx or aeromotive. what is the 86ish rx7 regulator? why not spend the money get the sx or aermotive?
