borg warner s472 T4 hotside and no extended tip.
Ok just wanted to know if any of you guys have any experience with this particular turbo? It's a Borg Warner s472 that has a 1.01 t4 hotside and no extended tip. The turbo will be on a fully divided manifold. Does anyone here have any particular experience with and t4 s400 as well as no extended tip design? I just bought this setup from someone on the forum for a great price so I'll try it out to see how it goes.

Never used it.
Ill have some dyno results for a borgwarner s400 with 75mm extended tip and 1.32 turbine soon. Im still trying to find someone who will sell me a s400 with a 75mm extended tip compressor with a .96 turbine. |
you ever used a non extended tip bw of any kind and compared them with the same size turbo but with extended tip? Just wondering how much the non ET is going hinder spool up time.

oh ok, for some reason I thought ETT was to help spool up time as well. Just looking for 500hp and think this turbo aught to do it relatively easily.

The .96 a/r housing does exist. I have seen it in my own eyes. Might be a custom jobbie. Mikes turbos does them but he does not answer emails.

should be a fun little turbo :)
https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...7&d=1273705523 I know it's no high dollar garret or precision but I think it'll do what I want it too. :) |

in other words say instead of hitting full boost at 4k and running out of puff at 7.5k(giving you a 3.5k power band) its better to have full boost at 5k and having power all the way to 9k(having 4k powerband)
is that what you mean? |

* Add $199 for T4 housing (.90A/R, 1.00A/R, 1.10A/R, 1.25A/R). **Optional True Genuine Borg Warner race cover available for $289 extra. Cover is a higher flowing casting with 3" slip discharge. 75-100hp gains. You better not be talking about using a single entry 0.96 T4 Omar! :icon_tdow |
