Opening the aux ports lowered the boost, no b/c used.. Footage is with the aux ports closed..Will look for other charts

is this on rx8 rotors as well? is this stock block, unopened?
|
Stock un-opened 60k mile block. Car just made its 800 mile road trip home without a glitch too.

Nice.

how much power do you think you'd lose to run on 87 octane, vs 93, assuming staying at 10 psi for comparision's sake.
|
87 octane would probably cost you a motor.
|
you would actually be surprised

Do you guys have an in house dyno?

These numbers do seem a bit high for a rotary if using any of the given equations on this forum....theoretically the lbs/min flow should be right around 48 or so by 9000 rpm. And if we take that and multiply by 10 and divide by 1.15 you'd get a theoretical 423 rwhp. But since its a rotary we should be looking at 375ish if we divide by 1.3.....We are also told a ported motor may gain about 15% though so this brings up a question I guess....does the high compression set up net these higher numbers? It has been argued that the renesis will not flow as well as an REW due to side ports though....This is actually super fascinating to me, because I was doing an REW build with 9.7 comp rotors, a mild port and e85 with an HX35. Only aiming for 425rwhp max.

wow very sick really making me want to get an rx8 as well that would make two rotary engines how cool.......very happy to see people pushing the limits in the rotary line up

That's a lot of power for a gt35r at 10psi. I really hope those numbers are ligit.
If the numbers are legit, they are impressive! Very nice overall kit Turblown:nod:. |

Peak HP is high because of the AUX ports. Its like having a gigantic port job. Even with forced induction you still need a lot of intake duration in the high rpms to continue the torque curve. If you can make the torque curve sustain in the higher rpms, it will translate into a lot more high RPM power( peak numbers)..
Here is a back to back with this car, 4 port vs 6 port( wire open ). You can also see how too much intake duration hurts power down low... |
