so i was driving my FD on my way home on i-10 around 6pm-630pm and i keep hearing a real loud exhaust noise

and omg my camera almost fell out the window at one point
we were going 85+ mph it is windy i tell you , windy !

Rotary power

Your video reminded me of the Blair Witch Project, it kinda got me dizzy LOL. Loved the flames nonetheless! This was at SS this year. It belongs to a guy named Albert, I don't think he's on here. I'll let him know though. Believe it or not, this is his daily driver and he commutes 120 miles a day in it. Yes, his exhaust is deafening! It sounds sick though!

Here's a couple pics.:

What exhaust? If this is the same truck that I saw at SS, he had a straight pipe from the header back,no resenator and no muffler. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten pulled over by a cop yet for the noise.

Who cares, it still sounds sick and sicker with flames shooting from it!

I guess when you're an old fart like me, extremely loud exhaust on an everyday driver just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I would say 99.9999% of running open headers and no mufflers make less power than a nice full length muffler exhaust system anyway, so why the headaches and worries.

I hear you Jay. I daily drive my repu and although my exhaust noise is decent (not obnoxiously loud), it becomes irritating after a while, but you still gotta love the sound of that screaming rotary.

Nice video. Thats one thing I will not miss is the loud sound from my rotary. Too many noise pollution tickets. Turbo quiet it down pretty good under 3000 rpm or cruising speed. I like the Racing Beat pre-silencer + Apexi WS2 Universal muffler combo. It does scream when I punch it. Rotary Rocket!!!
