12a Crank pulley problem?
Got a problem. I rebuilt my 12a using parts from two different motors. Most of which are 83-85 parts. Well, I am setting the timing now and notice that both of the crank pullies have different timing marks. HOw do I know which one to use? One of the pulleys has the trailing mark 20 degrees AFTC and the other pulley has the trailing mark 15 degrees AFTC. Also the TDC marks on both are about 5-10 degrees apart from one another between the two pullies. Help?

you need to pick up a shop maual. One mark is for leading ignition timing and one is for trailing ignition timing. I don't know which is which, because, I've never timed my car.

I know which mark is what. My problem is that I have two different 12a pullies and I don't know which one to use. They both have different timing marks on them and it is a big difference.

I think I found my answer in the manual. Correct me if I'm wrong but for the 12a the timing marks are 0TDC leading and 20 ATDC trailing. And on the 13b it is 5 ATDC leading and 20 ATDC trailing. So the pulley that I have that has the marks that are 15 degrees apart from one another is for a 13b and the other pulley I have that has the marks 20 degrees apart is for the 12a.
I think the SA pulley is marked differently from the FB 12A pulley. I ran into this problem comparing them to an RX-4 13B pulley. All three had different leading mark positions. Kinda weird.
