My issue was only the cold air comming out of the center vent.

Only when it's humid. If your windows are fogging any other time, they probably need to be cleaned.

Uhh, yeah thanks. I was saying it must be odd because I get hot air out of the upper vents, not because it's a very early FD.

Even if they are fogging up, there's a simple solution. Still keep it on heat, still keep it on the floor and/or defrost position, and simply click on the A/C button. It'll still have warm air coming out (not as hot...but warm), and since the A/C is a dehumidifier by function, it'll get rid of all that fog in no time...then turn it back off, and resume heater mode
