Question Rear Axle Swap

I've seen a few 8.8 ford axles and built GSL/-SE axles. Has anybody ever used a Pinto rear axle?

My neighbor is giving me one set up for first gen 7s with a posi err limited slip, all it needs is axle shafts.

Would it be a worth while swap and what kind of power can in take.

Thanks,
Eric

I've found some very good info on the Ford rear ends, on the Ford and Mustang forums. The Pinto rear, imho, would be way to weak and a waste of time. I used to drive them when they were new, they are not any where near what a 7 is, even when modded.
