GSL-SE rotor housings

Hi Guys,

I have an 84' GSL-SE. The engine was replaced by an engine rebuilt by Hayes a couple years ago. I was very busy at the time and made the mistake of letting an incompetent mechanic install the engine. Big mistake! I guess we all learn from our mistakes. Anyway, after the rebuild the car ran rich for a long period of time and one day the car wouldn't start so it sat there for about two years. In the process it delevoped carbon lock. Now I am tearing down the engine so that I can get my baby back on the road again. In the engine I found massive carbon deposits and that the chrome is beginning to chip off of both rotor housings. So now I am looking for some used rotor housings for an se that are in good condition. If anyone has some or knows where I can get some, please help.

Thanks for the input, fatboy7. Does anyone know of the best place to get housings? I know that Mazdatrix has them for about $740 a pair. Any other good places? It is hard for me to put this kind of money into her right now esspecially since I got ripped off by the mechanic that installed the rebuilt engine. For what that cost me, I could have had a brand new enigne and money left over for a turbo!
