More exhaust delemas

Attempting to reassemble my 79 exhaust and have run into a couple issues. Understand that I live in Denver and must pass emissions testing.

Quandary 1) which of 2 heat exchanger to use. One doesn't have the plug that blocks the air from going straight through. The other doesn't have the outer layer of heat shielding.

Quandary 2) The muffler I bought from racing beat doesn't have a provision for the 1" air pipe that goes from the bottom of the thermal reactor all the way to end of the muffler.

Recommendations?

I think you'll have a hard time finding any muffler that has the small air pipe. I just picked up these brand new NOS OEM 1979/1980 exhaust parts.

The owner of the 1979 I purchased recently use to work for Mazda. He had a bunch of new parts he gave me and others I purchased from him. I bought every new part he had. He even gave me a mold he made of the front spoiler he put on the car. I'm going to have some more made from the mold.

I presume you have no interest in selling the muffler. So, when you install the new muffler I'd love yo have the pipe off your old one. Herb
