Hesitation after HKS twin power installed

Hello again fellow rotor heads,

Just installed my used HKS Twin Power Rotary Specific.

Everything wen well.

Problem is Im getting some intermittent misses/hesitation on 2nd gear boost pulls after installation.

Problem was not occurring before install. Cut all ends and replaced with solder, snake skin, and shrink tube.

Wiring is 100% correct. Ground is connected to one of the mounting holes on the lead coil. I also wirebrushed the surface to iinsure good contact.

This problem. Is intermittent, and only happens 1 of evey 3 pulls, and maybe 1 or 2 misses each time.

Other than that, car still runs perfect. Running NGK BUR9EQPs all around. Any input is appreciated

Hey bud,

I looked an you have 2 wires hooked up to your leading coil. One of those might be your signal wire. If you look at the instructions for the HKS Twin Power, http://www.banzai-racing.com/store_i...wer_Rotary.pdf, crappy though they may be, there should be one wire to each negative post of your coils. Then what I assume to be the signal switching wire is connected to the positive post of T2 coil. I posted pictures of mine on another thread, https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...tions-1111472/. Maybe the signal is getting goofed.

I don't know if this will fix it, as a matter of fact I need to get an oscilloscope and see if the darn thing actually does anything other than blink a red led at you.

I had a hesitation a couple weeks ago with this thing, 2nd gear, trying to boost, went and looked this week and found a loose intercooler hose. Fixed the hesitation I had, hope that is your problem too.
