The earliest we can get into SS Auto is Early May. Thats why im asking about Turbo Hoses, but they want 165 an hour for dyno.

Plus one of our guys cant do the 2nd and 3rd weekend in april.

 

sorry for the inactivity, but have we tried RedZone Performance in Fremont? I recall doing a Kan session there many years ago.

 

I'm still waiting to hear back. lol, it's a fine line between 'squeaky wheel' and 'bugging'. I haven't forgotten or given up though!

Im going to set a hard date with Steve, unless anyone has any objections.

Tomorrow (Friday) Im going to let steve know that we would like to tune on May 6th/7th at SS Auto in Modesto California. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

 

did the idea of dnr in hayward fall through? modesto is a bit far of a drive for me. if you guys are set to get tuned out there i would like to/be willing to give up my spot in exchange for my deposit.

***Important***

1. Show up 1 hour early
2. Change oil before tune day
- Steve says NO ROYAL PURPLE OR MOBILE 1
- Steve prefers 10w40 or 20w50 ONLY
- Steve recommends Vavoline, Amsoil, Redline, Brad penn, or Idemitsu
3. Change Spark plugs 2 DAYS BEFORE TUNE
4. Bring an extra set of spark plugs (i didnt see anyone running meth, but if you are, you better be running an ignition amp or race plugs, or prepare your butthole for ignition breakup.
5. Everybody should be running a wideband (they are cheap enough)
6. If your car has problems, Steve WILL immediately pull it off and start on the next car. Once your issues are fixed we can throw it back on.

Thats it everyone. Come prepared. This is an expensive activity were doing here. Its very hard to get everyone organized enough to get steve out here, not to mention expensive. I am for sure going to bring lots of spare parts and my large portable tool box.

I am not signed up for tuning (but may need Steve's services in the future one day) but is it cool if I roll through and hang out for a while? I've been out of the scene for a long time and thought I'd check out what type of setup people are running on their 7's these days.

 

I dont see why anyone would have a problem with that. Come through! The schedule is posted.

 

I am interested in getting a tune. I'd prefer a Sunday slot.
