J-Spec Auto
Has anyone done business with jspecauto . com . Are they any good?
Or know of any reputable businesses that sell jspec swaps |
Japan2LA sells jdm engines. I'd trust his motors before any other place.
|
I've sent him pm's and emails and he hasnt replied.

about 8 years ago i went down to canada to pic up 4 t2 motors at $500 dollars a pop with tranny
every motor ran fine..one had a steel flywheel with a double clutch...jspec auto are recommended but i think the price has doubled by now |
I got my engine from J-Hot Imports, TX. It came with all sorts of extra goodies. I have it installed and no problems, 110 psi on all 6 faces. Overall I'm tickled to death.

Does anyone know any reputable engine importers besides Japan2LA
|
Check the vendor feedback section, that is what it is there for. :-)

Some people have great experiences with engine importers, some have very bad experiences with the same guys. Japan2LA is more or less the only fully backed RX-7 engine importer.

How long would a jdm engine with 90 compression on the leading coils last?

But compression alone won't tell you how long the engine will last. If you're seriously considering buying a JDM engine, you also need to seriously consider the fact that it may be DOA, run great, or fall anywhere in between. There is no way to tell for sure without pulling the engine apart. You can guess by looking at the mileage or whatever, but in the end it's just russian roulette. Many people buy imported engines and plan to rebuild them before installation. What's that say? If you're just looking for a replacement engine, get a local one and save yourself some money. If you just want that 'OMGz i gotz JDM partz" effect then you're stupid. |
