Still in! :bigthumb:

sherman2k 02-16-07 12:56 PM

I bought same diffuser from Chuck. I still have it in my garage. I will buy one if Ken can make it carbon.

RX72NR 02-16-07 05:59 PM

I'm kinda thinking line-x or rhino lining would work great on this, ah we'll see.

JerryD680 02-17-07 01:23 PM

I vote carbon fiber

gracer7-rx7 02-18-07 12:10 PM

The regular black coating that Chuck used to sell looks great and was durable and well priced.

You can barely see the diffuser from under the car. It just adds a nice subtle look the rear. Not sure if i'd want to pay the extra costs associated with carbon for this. But I'd gladly buy someone else's if they want to change to carbon. :)

JerryD680 02-18-07 05:37 PM

Will the diffuser fit with the rear mudflaps?

car hugger 02-18-07 11:59 PM

A few posts back (post #62)there's a pic of herblenny's Montego Blue. It looks to have a slight modification to the diffusser but lines up nicely. Because of that pic I'm considering getting the rear mudflaps as well as the diffusser.

purplehaze23 02-19-07 12:58 AM

I'm in please add me to the list.

Thanks.

ihavetwins 02-19-07 12:07 PM

bump. i cant wait to see the finished product

Nuvolari 02-19-07 12:16 PM

Add me to the list but carbon isnt a good idea. Can they make it with the flexible flberglass they use ? Just a thought in case the car squats at launch and the fins hit the road ...

ihavetwins 02-19-07 05:01 PM

yea i dont care if its either im gettin the fiberglass one

Noxlupus 02-19-07 06:59 PM

Wouldn't urethane be better for this part due to the afore mentioned reasons? ...just a question.

DCrosby 02-20-07 12:52 AM

Just got my car back from Steve... did you go and take a look ??

No because its too close to exhaust!

So, did any of you send in your RE diffuser??

Good point, but isn't the stock ground effect and bumper urethane? I haven't seen any problems with them melting or what not.

wptrx7 02-22-07 09:31 AM

What's the story with this? Where do we (this group buy) stand Shine?

yes, But stock urethane parts arent this close to the exhaust.

I wish I had taken pics of my diffuser, but I had to trim quite a bit to clear the catback. If it was made out of urethane, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable putting it on my car as its way too much material so close to the exhaust... Again, this is my take on it and if people want to get urethane version, I guess its up to them..

adictd2b00st 02-22-07 10:02 AM

To confirm -
ShineAuto ships GB items on the basis of the order of payment receipt, with a bias toward local pickup of the first couple of units produced. The list copied above is to define a level of demand for the item only. It is understood that some (%50) will bow out of the GB once the request for funds is finalized. I think that at least one person on the list above has already sent their payment. These commnets reflect the process of at least the on GB I have been part of to date.

rash_rvg 02-23-07 09:47 AM

well, i can't really pick the item.
When I know how mutch it will be + probable shipping costs and payment details, i'll gladly pay up...
So far we only got estimates and "maybes"...

any real info on how this GB is going?

RX-187 02-23-07 01:25 PM

You can't go wrong if Shine can get these at $300 + $65 shipping especially if that is the definite price. I'm absolutely in at this current expected price for diffusors in the FRP hybrid material.

wptrx7 02-23-07 02:27 PM

He already has my deposit and by Monday he will have the payment for everything else I ordered. Let's get this going, I am way to excited.
