shineautoproject 04-02-07 03:41 PM

Alright guys. I have pictures of the diffuser itself. We are installing it today because it took us all day to install the Sanai Rear Diffuser on Saturday.

Thanks to Mike, we got a REAL RE-Amemiya Rear street diffuser to work off from. It's a bit beat up, but we can fix it no problem. Hey Mike, you think we can apply a coat of primer on that bad boy???

Here are the pics:

I don't mean to rain in on the parade, but in case you guys don't know what the Sanai Rear diffuser looks like. Here's a glimpse :P

What material are you going to be making the copies out of?? Carbon? fiber glass?

RX7Junkman 04-02-07 04:20 PM

is this GB still open, if so how much?

shineautoproject 04-02-07 04:36 PM

Both. The street diffuser might be tricky.

Tian 04-02-07 04:51 PM

CF RE-Amemiya Rear street diffuser .... that is just sweet

wptrx7 04-02-07 05:22 PM

The Sanai doesn't do it for me. But I do have a hard on for the RE-A street difuser.

RX7Junkman 04-02-07 05:31 PM

so is this still open?

FD3RotorTurbo 04-02-07 06:23 PM

i don't think its even started yet...

1revn3rdgen 04-02-07 07:53 PM

Is the pricing still going to be around $300 and how much for cf?

65Imp 04-02-07 10:19 PM

Sure, throw a coat of primer on it, anything ya need to do is fine. I'm pretty sure you will want to sand down the area that was repaired anyway. Hope you didn't get yelled at by the guys 4-5 doors down. They were giving me the "evil eye" when I "pulled away" from your place...

wptrx7 04-03-07 07:57 AM

Why was it repaired? Is it easy to scrape?

RX7Junkman 04-03-07 09:45 AM

count me in if its for $300.when and where to send money and how long b4 production to be finished

Venom13132 04-03-07 10:07 AM

subscribed would love to pick one of these up for a reasonable price

shineautoproject 04-03-07 05:40 PM

Alright Guys. Here are a few pictures. I will need your opinions.

The first thing I checked for was to see if any of the fins were crooked. The measurements show that they are pretty straight, but form some angles they might look crooked. I think it's just an optical illusion.

Before we starT mold production. We need to know a few things.

http://img466.imageshack.us/img466/8...ts1h023zp4.jpg

Are these holes really needed??? We would like to cover them if possible. It would give a much cleaner look.

The diffuser flows from out to in so you will get a bit of a gap around that area. Not much can be done about that. Remember... this is the real RE-Amemiya diffuser on my car :).

FD3RotorTurbo 04-03-07 06:04 PM

looks good! i want it!!!

RX7Junkman 04-03-07 07:00 PM

I'm definetly in if u can clean the area I marked up a bit to not have such a large gap.

shineautoproject 04-03-07 07:06 PM

We'll clean it up for sure :) That's just a mounting issue. We couldnt bolt it all the way up because the exhaust was in the way, but that's taken cared of.

RX7Junkman 04-03-07 07:24 PM

how long would it take u to make. also what color would it be, like the stock diffuser that blackish grey look

SiKoPaThX 04-03-07 07:27 PM

What's the hole for? Tow hook?

fl 20b 04-03-07 07:41 PM

diffuser

Ill take one

rx7goomba 04-03-07 07:43 PM

So will your version will have more mounting tabs and what will it be made of?

shineautoproject 04-03-07 07:56 PM

Our version will be semi glossy black just like our other parts. This diffuser has alot of mounting tabs so we won't be adding anymore.

We're looking at another 2 weeks for this by the way. I will have a group buy again to take in deposits. That was we can get an official head count with an official first come first serve.

Shipping will be $100 by the way. Our box is 72x33x12

Ken
