I don't even own an FD and that tail light cover gives me a boner.

afgmoto1978 02-06-06 03:16 PM

Very nice would this kit be available later in the year?

shineautoproject 02-06-06 04:04 PM

this kit will be available, if there's enough demand for it. If we get enough interest, we'll make it, if not, then we wont. We're getting the kit in late feb.

bustadog 02-06-06 04:11 PM

Sweeeeeet. I'll definitely take one.

shineautoproject 02-06-06 07:02 PM

i would like to form a pre-order type thing to see if there is any serious interest. You guys in ??

power hungry 02-07-06 09:34 AM

I will sign up for one. Just let me know where to send a deposit.

shineautoproject 02-07-06 12:16 PM

Ok......... send $350 deposit along with your rx7club screen name to shineautoproject@gmail.com and I will compile a list. If the project doesn't go through, I will refund your deposit. We need at least 10 guys signed up to gaurantee the project.

Here are the pre order prices.

Front Bumper $375
Sidesteps $275
Rear $150

Shipping can range anywhere from $100 - $180 depending on where you are located and whether or not it is being shipped to a business or residential ($40 more). The further east you are from California, the more expensive it will be as well.

We will only accept paypal for this. That way, deposits can be refunded if the project doesnt go through.

power hungry 02-07-06 02:48 PM

Deposit sent.
9 to go.

shineautoproject 02-07-06 02:51 PM

list updated...........now all we have to do is spread the word.

DTM_Le_Mans 02-08-06 08:15 AM

I'm interested if yo can make that front bumper in urethane. Any possibility of that? Definitely interested in the side skirts. I don't see any pricing for the rear taillight cover spoiler. Are you not making the taillight cover spoiler? Side skirts and spoiler I don't mind be in hybrid fiberglass.

power hungry 02-08-06 10:42 AM

The tailight cover spoiler is 2 threads below this one.

Our Hybrid FRP material is the closest thing to urethane......and I will even argue the many benefits it has over urethane. Making it in urethane is impossible because the tooling cost to make a urethane bumper is probably $10,000 .............. no one will make that investment unless they had hundreds of sales......... that's why its very rare to see aftermarket urethane bumpers........and if you do see one......it's cheap quality.......because of cheaper tooling.

power hungry 02-11-06 10:03 PM

I was hoping for a little interest.

werd.............. get it on this guys..........!!!!!!!!

shineautoproject 02-11-06 10:08 PM

i think everyone's wet all over the burnout kit

power hungry 02-11-06 10:19 PM

Probably so. Nice kit but the sanai is so subtle.

shineautoproject 02-11-06 10:23 PM

burnout has the drifter/cruiser look. The sanai is more of a GT look. Both look good.

Alright guys........is it the PRICE or is it the Style of the Sanai that is not generating interest???? All inputs are welcomed.

Ken

sevensix 02-12-06 03:46 AM

how much is deposit for the sides and rear sides only

shineautoproject 02-12-06 11:28 AM

$350 ...........let me know...........

NuTbAgSaN 02-12-06 11:30 AM

i want it, not sure if i have the funds. but ill trade my 99 front for it!

i would also be interested in just the front as sides, i want the diffuser!

shineautoproject 02-12-06 11:49 AM

yep,, still need 9 more guys.

you can sell your 99 spec front for alot...........prob enough this almost get this full kit......no?

NuTbAgSaN 02-12-06 12:04 PM

yea...i was going to sell it once but there wasnt really any intrerest at the time. i should try again, i am about to sell some other stuff anyway.
if u can save me a diffuser i may wait on that and get this 1st instead, but it still may be a month :icon_tup: i may also want to see if a couple more people will sign up as well. any time limit on this?

shineautoproject 02-12-06 12:18 PM

no limit.........

Sell your stuff quick because I might have a group buy on the rear diffuser soon

NuTbAgSaN 02-12-06 12:47 PM

dont worry about that if i had to im ready now! i can just wait on some other stuff.

i think i will have to get in on this kit though, because the way i figure, i can sell the 99 and easily make up for the bumper, and i was gonna go with feed sides, so that will save me money there! just gotta see if anyone else gets in and save a deposit. my car does need to be back up by next month or else i would send it now ugh

silverTRD 02-15-06 08:48 PM

paypal only? thats too bad for me then.

NuTbAgSaN 02-15-06 08:53 PM

^ just sign up its easy!!! free!!

no i have paypal, just no cash...just had to pay first and last month for a new place. :wallbash:

treceb 02-17-06 09:19 AM

the rears dont wrap around like the re amemiya they end at the bumper right?

if so i might be in for the rears. i think it should look ok with the burnout front and sides and still able to put a diffuser on...
what yall think?

NuTbAgSaN 02-17-06 04:32 PM

ive seen people have a diffuser with the amemiya and abflug rear skirts so im pretty sure these would work no prob.

silverTRD 02-17-06 08:20 PM

so its a 350 deposit...how do i send it?

what is the turnaround time once a deposit is recieved?

and lastly is likely that this kit will be produced? i noticed theres not too much interest.

LMK i want it!

shineautoproject 02-17-06 08:22 PM

if we can get more interest........then yes it will be produced..........if not then it wont.....and your deposit willbe refunded.

shineautoproject 02-17-06 08:22 PM

paypal shineautoproject@gmail.com

silverTRD 02-17-06 08:35 PM

how much interesst is needed? and how much is there? i want to know what the odds are. thanks

shineautoproject 02-17-06 08:40 PM

need at least 10 people interested........... so far, we have less than 3

silverTRD 02-17-06 09:17 PM

i make 3 huh? wow that sux. i'll send a deposit anyways for just in case purposes. did you ever come up with a final price?

silverTRD 03-12-06 12:03 AM

i never sent my deposit...but i would like too. but i want to. i want to know if there is any news on if this kit will be made

Tim Benton 03-14-06 08:00 PM

Shine is making some top quality stuff. What do you do with the kits you bought but don't ever make into production?

Tim

shineautoproject 03-14-06 08:47 PM

Silver TRD.........we're holding onto to it still until there is enough interest.

We have so many projects its hard to make EVERYONE happy.

Tim.........we either sell it on ebay or sell it back in Japan :)

apex_sideway 03-14-06 09:12 PM

So uh . . . if kit production falls through how much will the original rear and sides cost :D
