All Burnout Kit from ShineAuto

dhahlen 04-13-07 01:30 PM

Yeah, good job.. cause that thing looked hella rice before. Nice choice on picking up those 99 lights as well, cause IMO those altezzas are UGLY! lol

I should have my bumper painted in a few weeks... we'll see how it turns out with the rest of my kit.

RX7Hunter 04-13-07 01:51 PM

Yeah I always bought the car as a project ;-) - needed a lot of work :-)

shineautoproject 04-13-07 04:55 PM

Nice pics guys! Now........ we definitely need a wheel fitment discussion going on here because that's the only thing you guys are missing. Good wheel fitment.

Twinnos 04-13-07 08:51 PM

that probably should have been addressed when the kit was test fitted by you guys. a little extra effort could go along way.

RX7Hunter 04-14-07 02:07 AM

To be honest, im happy with mine... if the front wheels were any larger or any different offset every speed bump would take out all my bodywork.

Might put spacers on the rear wheels I guess.

At least with RX8 wheels I was keeping it mazda, and to be honest I've never seen any wheels I think look better (on any car on here - I'm sure most people here disagree) except for on the Burnout car.

If you could get a deal going for Burnout wheels I'd defo be in.

dhahlen 04-14-07 02:33 PM

I agree, beautiful... white looks good on your car.

Yep. I was not a wheel expert by any means at the time, but I'm learning a little more now.

shineautoproject 04-14-07 04:40 PM

YO. That is some SICK wheel fitment for stock fenders. I am in awwwwwwweee....

wptrx7 04-14-07 04:52 PM

I like those Altezza lights if they were smoked like stock. Was this molded in, did the shop have any concerns with this cracking or coming off in the future?

Ken, don't worry about fitment, Rishi is in the middle of figuring it out. I can't wait for that big box in tricks to come in for me.

Luigi

Thanks guys. Gotta see the car in person to appreciate the paint. Its got a ton of rainbow metal flake. Looks amazing in the sun.

Here's a local guy with the burnout fenders and flares. I'll ask him about his wheel fitment whe n I see him again.

That overspray is HORRRRRRRRIBLE

Geezus did they cover anything up when they painted it?

Sup,

I am not an Altezza light fan myself, but yeah they don't look too bad - they look a lot better in person. Can't wait for 99 spec's to come.

Yes arches and front bumper were moulded in and yes they were worried that if the chassis took any physical beating it would crack (filler rather than polyflex). That's why I'm concerned about wheels and offsets - if my wheels were offset any more then the speed bumps I have to go over would ruin my bodywork. However, so long as the wheels dont rub at any point they said there should be no problem.

White one looks OK but that's standard fenders - with my bodywork and those wheels - hit a pot hole and my car would be revisiting the paint shop.

Vette454 04-18-07 07:41 AM

This is how Im molding mine in , taking all of the hard lines out , shaving side and rear lights. , totally smoothed sideskirts.

1.) $1900 + shipping (depends on location) - at least that is his ebay price on kit. That includes Front, Rear, Sides, Rear fenders, Front Fenders.
2.) Fits perfectly, but a little lower than stock components
3.) no special mounts, just add a couple of holes for side skirts
4.) No, molding is an option - which is entirely up to you
5.) Yes, it bolts on or can be molded
6.) Yes, you can do it yourself - it's very easy but also recommended that you have a professional do it to blend in your paint if you choose not to paint the whole car at once.

TT_Rotary 04-21-07 05:40 PM

wow.. 1900, lol.. somebody told me this kit was like, around 800, lol.. to expensive for my blood.. haha.. thanks for the info. man.

ehh... doesn't look good to me IMO...

I'd make a custom diffuser rather than that, but thats just me.

wptrx7 05-02-07 07:04 AM

You could probably buy the diffuser and mold it on since they are both FG

Twinnos 05-02-07 07:51 AM

looks decent. the finished product should look a lot better.

*RX007* 05-02-07 03:46 PM

well it would be a custom diffuser :P and if i dont like it in the end it doesnt have to go on + it wouls be much beater quality, i just mocked those up in like 5 mins :P

shineautoproject 05-04-07 06:14 PM

Wheel and tire specs please!!

wptrx7 05-07-07 07:36 AM

Yeah, I am trying to find out what size wheels (offsets) to go with.

HYDOUKEN 05-07-07 09:51 AM

Me too!!
The white car looks bad a**.
Too bad it didnt have the front and rear fenders as well.
I have the full kit and would like to know the wheel/tire spec to get the biggest lip with as wide as possible rim/tire.

plaguepunx 05-07-07 12:00 PM

Wow down for two days and the forum is still slow as hell...Zilvia style.

Anyway my wheels are 17x9 +22 in front and 18X10 +20 in rear with
and 235/40 17 and 245/40 17. I think I could get away with a lower offset in the
front but the rear is pretty perfect. The front fenders are rolled and the rears have a very minor pull. For the wide fenders you can get offset close to zero maybe even negative with the right size tire. It all depends on what you want to do with the car and such.

HYDOUKEN 05-07-07 12:37 PM

do you have pictures you could post up plaguepunx?
I wanted to put 18 inch wheels. Also the car is mainly on the street, no tracks.
Do you also have the full kit with front and rear fender flares??

Hey man, not saying the offsets don't work, but have you actually driven the car? Have you put it in a turn with wheels full lock? Or taken a hard turn where there's some body roll?

Not trying to be a bummer because you know i love your car. But those offsets are CRAZY low :D

plaguepunx 05-07-07 01:25 PM

wheels have been full lock and I know there are gonna be some areas that might rub but I am just gonna have to work it out. I hate you offset nazis im not the first person to put low offsets on a car or a rx7. There are ways to make it work.

apex_sideway 05-08-07 03:23 AM

whoa whoa buddy, no need for name calling :D

HYDOUKEN 05-08-07 09:10 AM

whats wrong with putting a low offset on an rx7?
anyways not to get off topic but still looking for pictures w/ wheel size :)
Looking for the deepest and widest rim I can put under this kit with the fender flares

plaguepunx 05-10-07 02:30 PM

Mines the white car I dont have the fenders. The Demo car for KS has 18x9 +6 and 19x10 +6 I believe. With 215/40 in the front and 235/35 in the rear

Yeah I saw those pictures, and looking at the rear setup he has the tire stretched alittle. Which is something that I dont really like. If they would put the proper sized tire on that rim.....it would probably rub. Now the front setup is perfect :)

ddr10 05-17-07 01:23 PM

Is the kit still available from this guy?
Are the prices for the Burnout kit still valid?
