Very interested in the FEED sideskirts. Will they come pre-drilled? Any idea on prices for the sides?

For what it's worth, my bodyshop guy had an issue with the way the bottom of the rear 1/4 panels mated to the bottom of the FD. He had to fab up a little bit of extra fiberglass so it would rivet properly and mate with the car correctly, because of the way the leading edge was shaped on the backside.

Had I opted to mold it to the car, there wouldn't have been an issue, but since I track the car, there will be instances where something *may* happen, and would ruin an otherwise flwless mold job i went with rivets.

Just a word to those that may potentially want it. Of course, Ken may fix that issue, but i thought i'd point it out before hand

The FEED sides are already available and yes they do come pre-drilled. Shipping to sacramento is $50. However, we have to charge 7.75% tax.

The sides are $275 + tax = $296.31 + shipping.

We're shipping our first pair out today and we're making a smaller than usual box for the sides to see if shipping can be reduced. The FEED sides are as small as they can get. If we get the box size down.......shipping can be reduced dramatically. Right now it's $65 to anywhere outside of cali. We'll try to get it down to $45-50.

+1, I'm in for SURE for the HID turnlights. I want the WHOLE package :D! Please just let us know. Also, if you were to order the CF canards, HID turnlights, and the Lens covers, what's a time frame to expect for delivery? Thanks Ken.

1 week.

lane_change 08-29-06 11:42 PM

So how do I place my order for the bumper and sides? I would like to get those asap.

Also interested in the CF canards, HID turn lights, FEED hood, and possibly the FEED fenders if you decide to make them.

Any news on Carbon Fiber sideskirts?

Thanks,
Scott

Ballpark price for front feed fenders? I'm also curious about the C.F. sides and hood. Will the hood have C.F. on the underside?

shineautoproject 08-30-06 08:14 PM

Here are rought estimates for these FEED parts that DO NOT include shipping, taxes, and duties from Japan. These items will have to be shipped from FEED to our warehouse in Japan first AND THEN to the U.S. Hopefully if we make a bulk purchase, we can pass the shipping savings onto everyone.

A pair of Lens Cover $150
CF canards (4 pieces) $350

Halogen Turn Signal replacement $400
HID Turn Signal Kit $1200

These prices are not set.........

FEED front fenders around $500

CF sides $550

CF hood $1400

no CF underside........ The way we are thinking about making it, it might not even need an underside.

I have the real Feed type 2r bumper but wouldn't mind having a spare (since its FG). Let me know when you are ready.

HOLY SHIT! The HID turn signals are $1200? That's rediculously expensive. Is there any difference between the Halogen turn signals and the HID's aside from the fact that the HID's have an HID kit? Do the Halogens look the same as the HID's? Thanks in advance.

shineautoproject 08-30-06 11:49 PM

I believe they look the same. I have a customer who had the real deal FEED type II R front and he says he had the halogen version and it didnt feel like HIDs. Should look the same......but we are ordering one to find out.

str8ryd 08-31-06 11:28 AM

^Cool. I'll be in for the Halogens then. I can't justify $1200 for turn lights.

Herblenny 08-31-06 12:34 PM

Just to clearify something for some.. Type 2r comes with driving lights instead of parking lights. you could retro fit them with HID replacement. I'm going this method with my Type 2r bumper. With HID, I'm hoping its going to be bright enough not to use the head lights. we shall see. My car will be mostly show/weekend car.

str8ryd 08-31-06 02:04 PM

^Thanks that was really helpful. So we could always just buy the halogens and swap out to HID's if we feel the need to so, correct? Phil, would you happen to know if the Halogens are exteriorly the same as the HID's turnlights?

coda23 09-01-06 09:29 PM

clarification???

FEED lens covers = freshair headlight cover?

str8ryd 09-02-06 01:17 AM

Nope. He means the lens covers for the Feed Type 2 front bumper. They basically cover the turning lights.

coda23 09-05-06 10:12 PM

<---talking outta turn.

thanks str8ryd.

Yes, you could swap out the Halogen to HID.. I know thats what Feed does. Far as I know, they are not using any different housings for HIDs. Unless they are using some sort of projection HID driving lights, like Hella driving lights that are specifically made with specific cut off points. Which I highly doubt as its a lot more expensive way to go. Hope this helps.

shineautoproject 09-08-06 05:19 PM
