The price for the double deck without the bracket is $1200 in Carbon. Voltex Type 3 style
or you can get the Garage BB style wing we currently offer for the FC and acquire your own brackets. Both of these are 1600 mm. We've built them for a few S2000 track guys. Was never advertised for sale. |
I have one wrapped for the a customer overseas. I haven't had a chance to take a pic. I'll unwrap it tomorrow.

*pending pictures :) Ken, any idea where the bases would sit on the trunk? At the edge of the trunk lid like the APR wings? or further in? |

http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/6...539640x478.jpg http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/9...540640x478.jpg I believe Voltex only offers the wing in Twill Weave Carbon. The one shown is our version in plain weave carbon. We can build them in either plain or twill weave carbon. Your choice :) Ken |
At the moment we are leaving it up to the customer to establish the width of the mount.
If you already have the FD brackets, install them in the position you feel ideal. Then center the wing on those mounts and then you can pop-rivet the carbon bases (sits on top of the mount) onto the wing. |
Interested in the dual element wing. PM sent.

I tried to contact Voltex last week about the brackets but have not seen a response yet. Would you be able to post a couple of pics of the finished product, thanks.

Did you ever get a response from them? if its $4-500 for the brackets from them and then $1200+ shipping from shine I think they priced themselves out of the market. Someone who will spend $1600+ for a knockoff might as well get the whole real item for $2200. Not enough savings for an unproven part by shine... ( and I am a fan of shine, just not the price on this particular item :icon_tdow

any updates on this wing?

where can you find the Voltex with brackets at $2200 shipped???
Keep in mind that when you are saying $1200 + $300-$400 = $1500-1600 for an "unproven" replica vs. $2300 for authentic, that half of the GT wing assembly is authentic. The brackets are Voltex parts, Voltex pricing. Keep in mind that Voltex wings are also handlaid carbon for the most part and not internally supported. Break one open and you will not find anything inside. The rivets used are simply bolted onto carbon, which can wear and tear. Ours is internally supported with sheet metal, which is more reliable for integrity for the rivets to grab onto. Voltex wings are also not clear coated. Ours are not clear coated either. There is nothing special about the process Voltex uses. The main feature I do see is that the bottom mounting brackets (sits underneath the deck of the wing) is made of dry carbon. If any of you have a chance to check out a Voltex Type 3 wing in person that has seen track use, pay attention to the small connecting carbon fiber pieces (pieces which connect the lower deck to the upper deck) for stress crack as it is a fairly common occurance. On a last note. You can't built a $2300 wing for less than a $1000 and expect the same. Ken |
Shine Carbon Kevlar Parts - S2KI Honda S2000 Forums
Here's one we built for an S2000 customer in our new JDM plain weave carbon-Kevlar fabric. 1600mm double-deck |
id be interested in a voltec spoiler from you guys!
are they for sell as of now? |
yes indeed. Made to order . about 2 week lead time without a backorder. No brackets though. You must source our own brackets (everything from aluminum stands and down.) This is what the S2000 track guys have been doing for the past few years.
|
One of my friends also fabricated his own bracket. Not a deal breaker if you just supply the wing.
|
We decided to offer 275mm brackets and 250mm brackets in a few weeks. If you need to order something from Voltex, order he rubber basis that mount to the trunk.
|
1 Attachment(s)
You guys will probably have luck ordering this through RHDJapan. I believe it is called a rubber trunk base.
|
We also offer two end plate options. Type A (small) and Type B (Larger). The one on the Kevlar S2000 wing is the type B.
