anyone getting one of these hoods wanna sell a TII hood? PM me plz
Hoods are f'in sweet ken, just dont have the money right now

Dorifto_PG 10-04-06 07:21 PM

I have a TII hood. It's silver and in perfect shape....

But i'm in Cali, not NC.

shineautoproject 10-04-06 07:42 PM

start saving up boys.........the hood looks good. Just need to test fit to make sure.

Now? who wants the original sexy style one? Its intact.

Dorifto_PG 10-04-06 08:26 PM

How is it still intact?

I'd be down for the original, I don't think any hood will really fit too well on my jam. I paid my $200 deposit, how much more for the original?

shineautoproject 10-04-06 09:55 PM

i'll sell you the original for $200 + tax if you want.

Dorifto_PG 10-04-06 11:59 PM

Killer. I'm local too, so I can come pick up. What's needed to make it useable? Needs to be refinished at all?

well its almost the same as the picture that was posted. Its in gray primer form.

Ken

Sweet! That's the piece pulled from the mold? Looks VERY nice.

Shine, you wanna PM me some pics (or post) of the original? I can pick up this weekend (Sunday).

Thanks.

shineautoproject 10-05-06 03:43 PM

sunday is a no no :) Saturday is best.

Dorifto_PG 10-05-06 03:51 PM

I meant current pics, since those were before the mold was made and everything. And that whole business about cutting out the vent.... dunno what ended up happening, as we all thought it would have been destroyed to graft the vent onto the OEM NA hood.

So yah, current pics of the original hood is what i meant, sorry for the confusion. :)

cool_as_crap 10-05-06 03:53 PM

*lotion*

are they all going to come in black like that? and when will they all be completed? (i dont want to get mine until the people before me have theres, since i got in kinda late)

Dorifto_PG 10-05-06 03:55 PM

Argh, Saturday I am jamming to get a friend's 180 back together (built motor and re installing, piping, etc). I'll tolk to him, maybe we can fly by Saturday morning before working on his rig.

-=Lil Red=- 10-05-06 08:47 PM

so they are ready?

vipers 10-06-06 02:36 AM

groovy.... ill wait for the people that need them to get theirs first... then ill come get mine...

Kingsfan 10-06-06 12:26 PM

aka, you don't have money right now either? haha, btw i saw your car last night viper looks sweet

excitingleopard 10-06-06 12:38 PM

I hate to be a naysayer, but it looks somewhat blocky. Smooth and sleek is kindof supposed to be the look of our cars, isn't it? The original turbo hood scoop looks much sexier and has pretty much the same functionality.
...Just my opinion, of course.;)

First, Smooth and sleek is how I would describe an FD. Blocky and 80s is how I'd describe an FC (unless extensive work is done to alter this, like RE 2000 front bumper etc).

And Second, it has the OPPOSITE effect of the stock TII hood scoop. When you have a V Mount or FMIC, you need air to be EXTRACTED from the engine bay, not SCOOPED in. Also, hot air extraction aids in cooling efficiency (radiator).

MUCH better function than the stock TII heat-soaking top mount IC...
