What did you do to or with your RX-7 today?

I took pics for my part out thread...

This weekend I swapped drievetrains on my vert and gxl, but the motor is left to do this weekend. Also, swapped brakes and suspension, since I have coils

The vert had TII drivetrain...

get in it and drive.

I just finished changing the oil. Why do RX-7's run so much better after you change the oil?

i don't think it's because they NEED the oil is it? :egrin:

i just discovered one of my exhaust manifold studs is broken off in the housing, good times..

Nothing. It's sitting waiting for me to swap the transmission (will happen saturday).

Nothing yet.

But yesterday I tightened up the alt belts, they keep coming loose.
I also found that's its possible to snap the adjusting bolt if tightened too much.

$18 at mazda dealer for a original one or $1 at ace hardware for a non original that works just as good. :lol:

Put the car cover on after charging the battery

Ray, to answer your question, all cars run/idle/sound a little better after an oil change. Oil breaks down and loses it's ability to effectively coat and lubricate things inside your engine. Ya big silly!

Took pictures of the vert interior for the 4 pt bar fabricator. Ran a longer wire for the momentary switch on the carputer. Added red LED map lighting.

nothing sat in the garage because i broke it at the track last friday

Changed the plugs on my T2 , put the old ones in my turbo Fb to break in the fresh motor :nod: ...

I drove to the store to buy clothes and then drove back home

btw, my girlfriend left the lights on all day and screwed up my battery, so i got a new one, i'm glad it was still under warranty, but my buddy still charged me $5 dollars for gas :(.

that is correct. the for sale being posted on the car was turned down prior to the committee meeting and did not even make the agenda. the decision is final

Started it up, drove around the block,parked it, and continued to cut the grass

swapped 850cc to 1600cc primary injectors and adjusted the maps, and took it for a drive. and not even with a rough tune the Corvette or the 240 turbo guys couldnt keep up with me. Cant wait until i get it dyno tuned.

finished my e85 setup here is a teaser of the pump. very happy with the results. cant wait to put it on the dyno to see what #s I make. going for __ psi. ssshhhh its a secret. :)

sweet pump setup, that pump looks bigger than the bosch 044.

Went and got my emmissions certificate, the 88 Vert passed with flying colors

Installed my Apexi coilovers...

Tomorrow the Aerocatch hood pins....

Discovered a vacuum leak that's been sucking my gas mileage.

got my radiator fixed.

Hmm. With my RX-7, I think I sat the mail on top of it for a while as I was working in the yard.

With the RX-8, I went to the beach.

Not a damn thing. Took a look at it as it sits in my garge waiting to be rebuilt.

Installed a boost, oil pressure, temp., and a/f ratio gauge.

I ordered my FD a front mount, and been debating which exhaust to get.. any thoughts?

Tapped into a constant 12v to re-wire my cigarette lighter that has never worked since the harness spontaneously caught fire.

Cleaned up some accessory power wires at the batter terminals that, I'm sorry to say, were half-assed to begin with. They're still not pretty, but they work, and make such things easy to get rid of if I no longer want them.

Last weekend I eliminated my pulsation dampener because it was time to stop being lazy.

Had my tires rotated... and I'll likely rotate them back again.

yeah me too. good thing it was only the clutch. got a new one and i'm back!!! went to morosso last friday.....great time had by all
