So I am relocating for my company to the Memphis area, around the Jan-Feb time frame.

anyone here have some tips on the area? ill be shopping for a house in the East/ Northeast of Memphis around collierville, Cordova, Eads etc. Ive heard some bad opinions of Cordova but we are looking only in unincorporated areas outside the annex.

Hopefully there is plentiful E85 in this area as well!

 

I live in Cordova, its not to bad. But if I was currently in the market to purchase a house I would be looking to be in Germantown, Collierville, Eads, or in the area or ever a little farther out to Oakland. Also if you have kids look long and hard into schools near the house you buy. Some people also will move to North Mississippi to places like Southhaven, Horn Lake, or Olive Branch.

What brings you to Memphis, is it FedEx? Thats why I am here.

 

I work for a company called Intermec, who does business with FedEx, but i understand the FedEx location is part of a co workers territory.


We dont have kids or plan to, but we have two big dogs and want a large yard with room for them, and somewhere a HOA isnt going to be upset when i roll another parts car into the driveway

are there any spots where car people gather on a certain night etc?
