7th Annual Churazco Meet - Markham Park Nov. 5 @ 1PM

7 years already. Having our annual meet at Markham Park. Bring freinds and family. Most important, bring a rotary powered car or a previously rotary powered car with a different powerplant (Yes eddie, we won't discriminate against you). if you don't have a rotary powered car and love rotary's this event is for you. Everyone is welcome. No food or drinks will be served. Please bring your own food and drink to the park or eat and drink before you get there.

This is the biggest Rotary Powered Vehicle Meet in South Florida. I don't know of any other this size. We usually have between 50-70 cars.

This year will be a little differnet. I donate money every year to the Covenant House. For those of you who don't know what it is, The Covenant House Florida reaches over 200 kids in the Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando areas through their street outreach programs, crisis shelters, and transitional housing programs. Their Ft. Lauderdale house opened in 1985. Then expanded to Orlando in 1995, making Covenant House Florida one of the state's largest private agencies providing services to runaway and homeless youth.

I will go around taking in donations for the Covenant House. 100% of the money will go to them. I will post how much money we raise for them. Every year we meet and have a good time. This year we will meet and raise money for a good cause. if you dont want to donate on the day of the meet and think that the money will only go to fund my FD, then you can donate through "ROTARY POWER" on the Cvenant House website. Yup, i was chosen as one of the top 100 cars this time around so ill be debuting a whole new look, as i got parts comming my way as we speak :egrin:

don't have a rotary powered vehicle, but i'm shure gonna stand out like a sore thumb in the middle with my mazda MP3 :)

Man, that traffic last year was a downer! But it seems like I have more bad news. In my excitement to signup for this even, I neglected to check my calendar. I have a trip scheduled that weekend that I cannot cancel (believe me I tried). Very disappointing since this is a great event to be a part of.

My neighbor runs the sir pizza food truck, I'll let him know and see what he says.

I have contacted several trucks and they all want 250 just to get the truck out there plus price of food.

Wow really? I thought they just showed up wherever they wanted. That's pretty crazy that they charge to show up at events.

They said the reason why they are charging is because the unpredictable number of people coming. I can't guarantee them a fixed number of people or a high number of people.

spoke to a buddy of mine today that is my inside track to "Old School Rotary's" and he has contacted 20 of his friends. He normally comes thru with about 10-15 NICE old school cars. waiting on confirmations then i will add them to the list! This is getting Good!!!!

Hey Simon I will be attending this meet and I either will bring my 1985 GSLSE Turbo that is in my avatar. This use to be Paul's car and I bought it from him about a year ago or I will drive my brand new 2011 RX8 R3 that I just bought a few weeks ago????? I also will be bringing a couple of friends with some other clean first gens!!!!! See you all there be safe. :-)
