EvilJester 09-09-07 11:20 PM

one of the posters on streetfire mentions a dogtooth tranny? WTF is that?

zack4173 09-10-07 12:00 AM

god i want a 4 rotor i need to win the lotary.

PercentSevenC 09-10-07 12:14 AM

I like the engine, not so much a fan of the car... too over-the-top, especially the back. I'm with Compilez, though, I want to see the numbers.

I'm hoping the 4-rotor a friend of mine is building will sound that good.

time to save money for a 4 rotor.

mr2foryou 09-10-07 03:14 PM

Bump for anyone who didn't see it last night. There is now another thread about it.

and to think, they based the motor off the 12A

forced inducted fd dude 09-11-07 02:33 AM

wow....... ::pants get tight::

maz-rx 09-11-07 08:33 AM

Awesome Vid

The dog teeth are in between the gears not the gears themselves, they do the same job as a synchro, but as they have a less tight tollerance can allow cluchless shifting more easily hence they are used in sequential boxes. Its these engaging that gives the characteristic crunch. Most often found in everyday life on bikes.

The gears will be straight cut like this |||||| rather than Helical ////// . Straight cut gears are much stronger but are noisey giving that cool race car whine

holy shift shapers batman!! looks good and sounded even better. wow.

Four ports are better than six. Why would you ever base an NA four rotor that you plan on porting on an engine that is so limited when it comes to porting as the six port 13B's?

There is good reason why a 12A can make up and over 200 horsepower with a big streetport. (Highest I've seen on a streetport is 250 at the wheels). And they were insanely big streetports as well, but still classified as street nontheless.

This is obvious. Noone in their right mind would ever use NA 6 port for alot of power like Scoot does (peripheral port is what Scoot used). Plus you have to think outside the box, remember, in Japan they never had NA 13B's in FC's or FD's. They were all turbo(FC) or twin turbo(FD). I have seen a few FD's here and there that were 13B NA but of course they were just four port 13BREW's with the turbos taken off and converted to NA.

I I didn't realize this car was in Japan. Then again, I am an FB guy at heart, so Scoot in my mind is just someone pushing their butts on the floor a little bit at a time. I don't know anything about the company other than they have a four rotor.

does any one know if u could fit a 4 rotor if you use 2 12a's in a sa/fb. just want to know cause id so give my left nut to do that.

it be sweet with 2 side draft carbs in a sa.

slow_2ed_gen 09-11-07 05:52 PM

sounds so sick

Davin 09-12-07 10:54 AM
