Wrong cable??

I had someone install Rtek into my car and I am unsure the version and the cable that is hooked up to it is a white serial pc type. Not the palm style. Can I hook my pc you to it or is the wrong cable installed?

Iirc the cable u have is a female -> male serial cable for a pc, which is essentially useless (save for making it easier to access the connector and having a bunch of extra write in the cabin)

You cannot connect an rtek to a pc. So what u need is a serial (female) -> palm interface cable. I may have one left somewhere....
