rtek rev limiter build

Hello i have a simple project i started on and kinda wanted some input on a idea for it. I know we all want a rev limiter for the rtek ecu that is adjustable right. well how about this

pretty simple huh? you see i have a msd street-fire CDI box and dont want to shell out more money for two (plus they don't really do much on the trailing). so what i would do is use the rteks rpm switched output. to activate two of these to kill the signal going to the trailing coils.

Basically this is how it would work the msd box is set for 6000 and the rtek set to 5500 rpm. as the engine revs up the trailing is cut a little early so the relay does not have to switch on and off constantly. the leading with the msd box would do all the work. and as a fail safe the rtek rev limter is still on stand by ready to step in if any thing fails.

there was only one draw back i found when thinking of this THE TACHsignal reads form the trailing. thanks to the msd box with a tach output this should not be a problem

what do y'all think of this?
