Basic RX7.COM introduction

Hi everyone,

Many of you guys already know who we are and what we do, this is a brief introduction for the guys that don’t.

We have been at the same location in Garland, just outside Dallas, TX since 1988. In the beginning our main focus was Rx7 repair and maintenance. At that time performance was more a fun hobby than significant part of the business.

Over time, as our involvement in racing increased, the amount of performance/ racing work we were doing in the shop also increased. Over time we began to develop specialized products to fill the growing demand of our customers.

Eventually RX7.COM came about… We now offer our performance/ racing products for sale by telephone, website or through the shop. We also carry wide selection of other parts for the rx7, rx8 and other cars.

We are looking forward to using this subforum as a way to offer updates, new products and special offers to our extended rotary family.

This is NOT the place to discuss a specific order, get customer service related inquiries or to offer your own parts for sale, please send a private message or email.

Myself and Mary will be available to answer any questions you guys may have thorough the forum and telephone.

Thanks for your support,

RX7.com Mary 06-22-07 12:13 PM

Hey Guys,

I know that I've already talked to many of you by phone, I'm looking forward to working with you some more using the computer.
If there's anything you need just send a message or call.

Mary

I've ordered many items from Rotary Performance for the past 6-7 years. They're the best I've ever dealt with when it comes to customer service, having items in stock, sending tracking numbers, etc. It's a real pleasure to do business with them! Keep up the great work!

Outkast 08-17-07 06:10 AM

All of the FDs I have owned (5) on have been either built by, purchased from or built with parts from Rotary Performance. Outstanding quality and service.

SLOASFK 08-17-07 06:50 AM

:bigok: I've bought exactly one thing from Ari so far, and he was top notch! Definately better than the competition in every way. Thank you Ari!

I have been dealing with RX7.Com for about seven years. Ever since I moved to Dallas and bought my FD. "TOP NOTCH PEOPLE AND SERVICE" Chris, Ari and Mary are awesome. Most of the work on my FD has been done by them and almost all the performance parts and it has always been First Class. Highly, highly recommended!

Perfect service as usual.

I'm used to being disappointed with other "stores" (ahem), whose parts are always "backordered" with "no ETA."

I called RX7.com on Monday July 7th, got a real person right away (Mary?), and I asked for Ari, as he's been great in the past.

Ari was helping another customer, but Chris was available so I spoke with him instead. I told him due to my schedule I "need" the turbos by Friday the 11th so i can install them on Monday the 14th.

I ordered the Efini turbos on Monday and I had them in in my hands on Friday the 11th. I just installed them Monday on my day off.

I work in sales and customer service, and i'm used to exceeding my customers' expectations, but NOT having mine exceeded.

Not just one person, but the *people* at RX7.com have *consistently* provided the highest level of customer service.

Getting the parts on time simply made my day. Everything went as I had asked.

(The turbos installation? I won't say how long that took me. Lets just say it took me less than a day heheh ... hey it was my first time doing this !!)

As stated above, perfect service as usual.

Thank you Ari, Mary, Chris and RX7.com

Josh

Do you supply "new" rotor housings with internals such as the rotors, seals, gaskets and the eccentric shaft?

RotaryWeaponSE7EN 07-27-08 11:01 AM

Ari do you guys offer dyno tuning? A friend and I were thinking about driving down for a few days to have our fc's tuned.

L-Spec 07-27-08 11:45 AM

This is fantastic! I was hoping for you guys to join up. I've had everything shipped super fast and I love doing business with you guys!

ari 07-28-08 05:38 PM

Yes,

We do keep new engine parts in stock and would be happy to put together a qoute for you. Please email or send a PM

Yes, we certainly do. We mostly see the PowerFC, some microtech and haltech and a little emanage and AFC. What are you guys running for an ECU?

Factory ECU, right now I've got the rtek 1.7 chip running the 720. I have a SAFC I'd like to switch over too. Also have the greddy Profec-b. Its not much, but I've decided I'd rather have someone with experience tuning my car than some locals with no rotary experience.

ari 07-28-08 06:19 PM

We can help you get your setup dialed in. If you want to run a piggy back, you might consider the E-manage by greddy. Unlike the AFC, it offers boost compensation and timing control. it's a little more work to install and tune but it will do a lot more.

That has been my experience also in 5 or more years of buying stuff from them.
Love that "ahem" part. I know exactly what you mean. :)

Thanks

i have a fc rx7 that overheats... i change the thermostat, the radiator cap but it stills overheats.... my car also dies at a stop when i put on a/c so i have to turn off the a/c when i stop but when i go again it seems ok....

ari 09-18-08 12:41 PM

This may be the wrong section for this post, but I'll do my best to help. Your overheating issue may be a factor of the rad fan, fan clutch, radiator, air flow or even a motor. We've seen stupid things like a front bra on a car reduce airflow to the point of overheating.

As for the idle, it sounds like an adjustment, maybe the TPS. Either way, you might want to get with a local rx7 specialist or a real good shop in your town to get a 2nd opinion.

Good luck,
Ari

You guys are great, and I've had nothing but great service from all of you over the internet, while I was in SC, but I recently moved back to Texas, and have sent you 3 or 4 e-mails and left 2 messages since i get off work after you have already closed, and have yet to recieve a reply. I don't know if you have all been very busy at the shop or what, but I would have liked to have gotten a response a few weeks ago as i was driving through Garland on my drive home from SC. So I will try this route and see if I can get a response. please contact me when you get a change. -Clint

fan of Rotary Performance

Rotary Performance is awesome! Chris, Mary, and Ari have awesome customer service and some of the best knowledge anywhere. I've trusted them for all parts, repairs, and upgrades since buying my FD in 1999.

Do you know anyone who does what you do in Northern California?

Thanks

Hey all at Rotary Performance, Just wondering if you guys are still useing this Forum as a means to comunicate with customers? I work nights so it is hard for me to call during your normal buisness hours. I just have a couple questions about some of the cars you have sitting at your shop. are they all customer cars or are some of them owned by the shop?

And absolutly great costomer service and very informative. thank you for you help in the past and look forward to doing alot of future buisness with you.

thnx, Gary

RevHappy1.3 01-19-10 02:05 AM

I just bought a FD with a rebuild done by you all!!!!

Question though...if the motor hasn't been ran in three years do i need to worry about any of the seals? The rebuild was very very very fresh before it sat. Maybe 5000 miles tops on an automatic.

Mr.FD3S 03-07-10 04:04 AM

Yes, the website is still working. sometimes the prices change when you add parts to the cart...... the recent price increases aren't shown on the site.

Call them up, Mary usually answers the phone. 972 530 3335 :)

DJ_Merle 05-14-10 12:12 AM

These guys are a stand up bunch of people!!! I've been ordering with them probably for about three almost four years now. I have NEVER been disappointed! Best customer service!

buldozr 07-09-10 06:19 AM

I stopped by not too long ago, the cars upfront are looking dilapidated, first gens with flat tires etc... Starting to look like a salvage yard. I cant believe the city doesn't complain. The front desk looks like a storage closet. Have you all considered finding/building a larger shop?

Silvertear 07-28-10 09:15 AM

Regardless of the appearance of the shop, these guys are the best. Extremely helpful even if you're not buying from them. They really know their stuff which is rare when talking rotary. There are a few claimed rotary doctors in Oklahoma, but I still refer to these guys (and girl).

Athanon 09-01-10 05:23 PM
