like it says above guys who is gonna be there , this is in my opinion the best line up of cars to ever come from PUERTO RICO sixteen car in sub 7.6xxs... so this is it the big show the one that we spend all year getting ready 4, time to see some old friends :icon_tup: and meet some new ones :icon_tup: and shit even see some people we dont wanna see :wallbash: and also a great chance to meet some of the forum members , hope to see some of you there :bigthumb: :bigthumb: "PUERTO RICO LO HACE MEJOR"

I would really like to go to the pan american nationals as I've heard from quite a few people it is THE best time they have had with the best of the best showing up there and racing. Only problem I've got is that it's bracket racing. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong but I would love to buy a weekend pass over there and see some of these guys break into the 6 second range. I guess I always thought that this was the place where racers could go all out to see what they where made of.

No sir, that is NOT the PuertoRican mentality, everybody gets a chance at the jackpot. If they were to race head to head, cars like Pica Racing might not even exist or be where they are at....

Most certainly this is the one not to miss this years line up brings all turbo field I will be there like every year. Last year the P.R. team took the first round personal and made kwick work of the remaning U.S.A. racers when the second came around and from the third round on it was all P.R. cars left in the race. This year No U.S.A. car will make it past the first round of eliminations.


stop by and check the slection of turbos @ the mike turboinc. both ask for hueng to get the club member discount.


Mike turbo inc. is Tthe proud turbo supliler for more than half of team P.R.

aint that the truth :rlaugh: on the other hand STEIDEL RACING & CLUB MAN will be racing for TEAM USA :bigthumb: and we all know how consistent those 2 cars are , i belive someone droped the ball in the SALINAS SPEEDWAY camp or didnt wanna take clubman with them because rummor has it CLUBMAN was 3 points ahead of some of the cars that are on the transporter and this might just bite them in the ass :wallbash:

isn't that the guy that sells the masterpower t70's on ebay? He seemed like a pretty nice guy. Wants pictures of the t70 I bought from him along with some engine bay pics when done. Also is ken scheepers going to be out there this year?

Ken showing up will be a nice surpirse for the P.R. team. The best to find if he is going to be there is to call Tito chassis he might know. With Steidel, Clubman, (thank you Mr. Torres B.K.A. Sakura) the 2 cars that set Australia on fire when they showed up along with Ken, And the boys from Florida team USA has a good fighting chance. Rumor has it that the team from P.R. has made alot of ppl want to race this year. I mean can you imagine someone from team USA putting Pica on the trailer.WOW!

Speedway Politics. Clubman is a loyal racer to Salinas Steidel made some very promissing changes right before he loaded the car in the container so they better watch their ass for bites for real.

Yeah I hope more americans get into drag racing rotaries as much as you guys. I would love to see some good competition comming from this corner of the ring :) If Americans wheren't so much into thier v8's then maybe they would turn thier attention on the 13b! If I had money I would be there in a heart beat!

as much as KEN would love to be there i dont believe he will ,thers is a NHRA SPORT COMPACT event in LAS VEGAS that same weekend and KEN is leading the points in the modified class and on good track to a NHRA SPORT COMPACT CHAMPIONSHIP :icon_tup:

I think someone from P R last year was in the same situation. out in vegas while everybody else raced in atco. I am not sure I think it was Pica?

Team Florida is gonna be kicking PR's ass . Chamo race,Lucimar(ex Dee K 3rdgen),Curian,La otra,dafne,Indio,Delirium 2,El bacatran,Tatiana.El bacan,Rosado,Ortiz fc will all be there kicking PR's ass Also Clubman is gonna be racing with the guys from Florida so watch out PR. I still dont get why they call this event Usa VS PR wich in reality everyone is everyone that races there is rican. I got $100 on a car from florida winning the event.

i didnt see it in the video but then again i was @ VEGAS so i wouldnt know , i did get to see the car in 05 when i went to his shop and it was looking good , might just have to stop by again this year before the event

FYI... I hate to say this but this is the first year in a long time that we wont be going to the pan-ams.

My middle son Joey is marrying his sweetheart this weekend. So I have to stay home.... Im kinda excited as they have been wanting to do this for a long time, and they decided on a FLASH wedding.................

Yes, I ran 35psi and the clutch started slipping. I then dialed the boost down to 25 and as soon as I shifted into 3rd on the next pass, the 3rd gear broke. Now changing the clutch and tranny and should be running at the track on Friday and on Sunday if all goes well.

Now I know it's deffinately going to run good.

It's a pull type clutch. Plus it's only the regular pos ACT anyway. I have put every size shim on that sucker and it still did not hold any decent power.

Manny you know now you just let out another secret about shimming the pressure plate. You will have some explaining to do soon. :rlaugh:
Imagine if everyone knew that a stock pressure plate shimmed properly is almost as strong as most of the aftermarket stuff.

You are right. I had NO idea what shimming was and was not about to ask, I was waiting for someone else to ask and then Crispeed explained it! I think we need to get you guys in one room and torture you to get all the secrets out before you croak lol.

So........is there anyway to have a clutch on a stock tranny that slips a little at first and then holds the power after so there is less shock on the tranny and rear?

can't you do that yourself just by slipping the clutch on launch?

edit: I know I won't get an answer but worth a shot. Can you shim a act heavy duty pressure plate?

of course there is grasshopper :coolkid01 :rlaugh: thats where shimming comes into play and other things like tire presure , tire temps and a bunch of stuff like that :icon_tup: :icon_tup:
