Just finished this today. 26x11.5 No rolling. Had to tweak the calipers and the toe-link mount on the hub.

If the car actually performs we may. We're going to shake it down tomorrow and see what falls off. |

15x4 fronts and 15x8.25 rears 4.5 inch backspace, should have been 5 inch back space.
the rear tyre is 26x8.5x15 mt slicks, the front i think is some 24x 4.5 i think, ill check some time soon, http://www.cacklingpipes.com/100227_...80210_0067.JPG |

can you take a pic from the side standing straight out from the car.i want to see how much space there is between the tire and the wheel well opening.thanks
I can try to remember to get one later. Car went home with the owner yesterday. We are going to try to hit the track again this week. The challenge is remembering the camera and then to remember to take the pictures! We did hit the track last night. Car is running much better and we appear to be headed in the right direction FINALLY. Rear wheel/tire combo worked fantastically with good bite and no rub issues. |
I love all these setups. My car won't probably be done till next year ugh. The pics are pure sex.

It's a 15x10 Holeshot. Backspacing is 6.5" but we're using a 1/2" spacer.
|
The stock wheels look good with et streets

I have a question and I dont know if this is the correct topic to ask
I have a track prepared FD and I decided to do my first drag event. The track we have here has NOTHING to do with a proper drag strip It uses glue only for 10-15 meter ( 30-40ft ) and the rest is normal highway tarmak My setup gives me about 420bhp ( engine ) and I used track day tyres and not proper drag slicks... My tyres where TOYO R888 size 255-40-17 and my best pass was 12.51 with the first 62ft covered in 2.25 - 2.35 secs. My exit speed was 120mph So my first mod is to fit mickey tomson ET STREET size 26-10-16 on factory fitted 16'' rims. IS THIS OK??? Are the standard rims wide enough for this tyres? If not how wide do they need to be??? Also at this kind of power ( 420bhp engine ) and ET STREET tyres should I expect prop shafts , drive shafts , rear diff and rear diff case , gearbox etc to start falling to bits , blowing up etc etc I am only asking because I have to drive 450 miles from and to the track... Thanks alot |
They will be fine. Best thing you could do! The differential will be the next weak link. Mine lasted a few years on et streets. Try to preload the driveline. Use the e brake and slip clutch to stage. This keeps everything tight and less chance of breakage.
Next mod.. Add a pfs diff brace. http://www.pfsupercars.com/Mazda/Drivetrain/ |

This is a clip of my best run. I did a 12.55 with 2.3 62ft and the opponent did a 1.9 62ft but lost with a 12.9 You can see that the wheel spin in 1st and 2nd gear is UNAXEPTABLE |
One last question. Proper drag tyres in size 26-10-15 are popular and easy to find in Greece
On the other hand MT ET street 26-10-16 are vary hard to find. Do you know someone ( shop , friend etc ) that can post these tyres to Greece thanks again |
