Show us your catch can setups

Hey guys I am chasing ideas on catch can setups and how and what you using

So could you post pics of what you got as a bit of info on it.

Cheers

your model and turbo setup would be helpful so we know if our post will be relevant.

but anyways, what i'll be running, and i'm pretty sure a lot of FD track guys say is ideal, is a baffled oil neck with a line going to a vented catch can, and also a flange on the rear turbo oil return (assuming you have converted to single-turbo) with a line going to the same catch can.

but if you are TT FD or FC this won't (or might not) apply to you. I'm not really familiar with engines beside the REW

Oh sorry I have a FC turbo ll drag only car

I just redid the fuel system on my car and also had a catch can setup done while car was down. my engine setup is a 93 REW with a gt4094r in my brown FB....

here's my oil filler neck. this was done by Eric from a local shop called ProDrag chassis. the guy is a helluva fabricator and has done quite a bit of work to my car. neck has a -10AN fitting on it which leads to the second pic..(foil around CAS is a temp fix to some interference i am tracking down...havent found the source just yet)

the can is bolted to the left two 12mm bolts of the radiator. it is baffled and has a drain at bottom.

The same theory applies to non REW engines. Some of the guys have welded an AN fitting to the front cover on non REW engines, in order to vent both sides of the engine.

Nice buddy. So you just got it running from the filler tube to catch can and does it go into that blue one next to it or is that different?
Does it have a drain or go back to motor?

It just goes the the catch can. I run methanol so i have an external drain. If you are running gasoline you could probably just drain it back into the motor.

I wouldn't drain it back into the motor. A lot of racers now are putting a "catch box" in the trunk and venting everything into it. That way if you have a catastrophic failure the fluid is vented behind the tires.

i like those ignition boxes u have 13b rx3, what r they

Thats what i was thinking of doing just running a 4 ltr tank in the boot with a supply from engine filler tube with a fitting on it to the tank in the rear.
Then a overflow to outside behind rear tyres and a breather filter on it.
