Eliminating PPF
I would like to eliminate the stock Power Plant Frame. I have read some threads on diffs braking and PPF bending or braking.
is it a good idea for me to do this even if i am going to make under 400HP? and what are the best braces to get? I have: solid diff mounts solid motor mounts 4.10 t2 diff act 6 puck sprung clutch 17lbs flywheel including counter weigh. |
I wouldn't both. The stock ppf seems to do a fine job for cars under 400. I'm still on the stock one and i'm north of 500. I would upgrade to a some sort of diff brace though.

I've never heard of anyone getting rid of it that had a stock rear and a stock tranny but I guess it's possible if you made a lower diff mount and a tranny brace. |
I must have miss understood when reading other threads.

Ari Yallon got rid of his, but it takes a boat load of fabrication and at 400hp I wouldn't even consider it.
