Eliminating PPF

I would like to eliminate the stock Power Plant Frame. I have read some threads on diffs braking and PPF bending or braking.
is it a good idea for me to do this even if i am going to make under 400HP? and what are the best braces to get?

I have:
solid diff mounts
solid motor mounts
4.10 t2 diff
act 6 puck sprung clutch
17lbs flywheel including counter weigh.

I wouldn't both. The stock ppf seems to do a fine job for cars under 400. I'm still on the stock one and i'm north of 500. I would upgrade to a some sort of diff brace though.

I only know of guys that had no choice to get rid of it after the changed to a cobra rear. Right now that PPF supports your rear end and holds it at the right angle, it also holds your tranny up.

I've never heard of anyone getting rid of it that had a stock rear and a stock tranny but I guess it's possible if you made a lower diff mount and a tranny brace.

I must have miss understood when reading other threads.

Ari Yallon got rid of his, but it takes a boat load of fabrication and at 400hp I wouldn't even consider it.
