Broken axle's?

I would like to see pics of what guys have broken or post up were they were breaking at. Is it the main shaft or other? I have the complete rear out of my car right now and have had some 300m axles on the shelf for over a year just been waiting for the stockers to break. Not sure what the record is but I think I may squeeze out a high 9 this season and is it worth it to do it on stock axles (record) or has that been done already?

That's a nice break! Was that on drag tires?

I have a couple events in the next 2 weeks. If I don't break them or if I hit my goal I will swap them then.

I've got a collection of pics of the inner cup snapping off right at the splines, hoping the magic valve prevents this as i only have 1 more cup.... then the 8.8 in my shed will come out lol

It was on ET Streets, car didn't move an inch when it happened....3,500 on the 2-step, released the clutch (not dumped) and bam!...I was very surprised!

Means you are hooking well. I try to spin the tire some. That and pre loading the driveline. I do dump the clutch. My gut tellms me I will break tonight. This new clutch set up hits hard. The old 6 puck would slip but the iron disk doesn't.

Well axles are still there. Car was acting up. A little. Think the plugs are bad. Clutch was perfect Hits hard! bad tire spin so 60 foots were 1.6's to 1.7's. Tried different tire pressure, 2step rpm's, free revs, etc... I can't believe I hooked better with my stock wheels and et streets. I have more sidewall on these 15's. 6.6's all night like I was a bracket racer. Was running lower boost than usual.

But something sounds a little funny in the rear,...

Removed rear tires and drivers side had one bolt half way out and other one missing off brake caliper! Oops!

I am ready for next weekend I guess. Thinking about the heat just kills me. Friday here is 96 so would guess Montgomery is going to be even hotter. I can't believe they are doing a day race instead of night. Think I am going to run my oem wheels for first qualifying pass. Not sure if I am going to run modified or rwd class. I would prefer to run modified and let you clean house in rwd but don't think I have a chance against the alpha 10 gtr! Also looking at my logs from last night it was spiking between shifts and I was just looking at peak psi after each run. So I was running only like 1.5 to 1.7 max boost thru the gears. Definitley more left. Mph was lower than usual @ 108.
