This is based on the last set used, not the current set. I have the remaining 5pcs from the origional set which I am adding a new one to and will send them to Gaby with the 2pc seals he is going to try next. The remaining 5 - 3mm 1pc seals will be re-used https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...182522&page=13 I believe there were issues with the CAS

From the NRS thread:
"The seals were first installed in May 2006, so it's been 12 months @ 850 RWHP/34 psi and about 1 month @ 980 RWHP/43 psi.

I'm not sure how many passes Sporty made last year but that is the time frame."

That 6.97 car ran the same motor for 12months?!!?!

Judge Ito 12-07-07 05:02 PM

Engine builders, that build high horsepower turbo charged rotary engines know how hard it is, to not only build an engine that stays together(no bearing failure, no detonation, no cracked plates, no rotor floating and crashing into the inside of the rotor housing, etc, etc.) which are common issues you confront when building a high horsepower rotary engine. builders with this knowledge could appreciate not only what this Rx7 did, but what many other builders of high horsepower engines are doing. With that being said I congratulate everyone involved and the critics that have no clue of what it takes to create a monster like this. I would say talk is cheap, go ahead and try it yourself....

Damn! Thats just awesome!

ultimatejay 12-07-07 08:30 PM

You know whats really cool is that he drove the car all the way back to the pits. Shows you the quality of the build.

Sweet Jesus!! that sucker launched like a bat outta hell... what was the 60ft on that pass? just imagine when they tune the chassis to handle the new power, my god!! it will be madness...

You guys have to pardon Rice, he doesn't know better.... Thank god he didn't start comparing rotarys to F1 cars because thats all he do over at Ausrotary...
This is an accomplishment that we all should be proud of, because at the end of the day we (rotarys) are a minority in this sport and its about time we show the rest of the world what the 1.3L can do... The only ones that should be talking shit are the ones that can do better..

You do know a 13B is a 2.6lt relative to a 4stroke right :scared: so I am not sure what your trying to compare it with? are there any 2 stroke drag cars running 6's of the same engine capacity (1.3lt).

Tha's true but lets put it in another way!!

Have u seen any other engine with 89 cu in making 1000+ horsepower and running at over 190 mph or 200 mph??

Have u seen any 4 stroke piston engine with 89 cu. in. make multiple consisten 7 second passes !! or running blistering lap times??

RX794 12-08-07 02:13 AM

This was a HUGE accomplishment for the 13B! Congrats to all the parties involved.

you know whats funny.. Brent Rau said with no shame in his game, how he uses 75psi of boost. extremely hard to keep the engine together, but he does it and many a times gets great resutls. like his 6 second runs.

If I had the money, I would take on Brent's attitude towards high boost..

Viking War Hammer 12-10-07 04:18 PM

75 lbs ? now that's tryin !

So, what's sporty running ? like 45 Lbs ?

crispeed 12-10-07 04:19 PM

Brent told me yesterday that he was running 80psi with a 200 shot!
We were running 45 to 47psi this weekend and Brent laugh at us! :rlaugh:

mad20b 12-10-07 04:26 PM

joeylyrech 12-10-07 05:02 PM

are you running 45 psi on the time machine 7?

I don't work on Papito's(timemachine) TII. All the work and tuning is done by Lopez Racing in Miami. Further more they don't need that amount of boost to run the times they are running. If they did Papito would need wings to control that car. It's way fast enough and a handfull to drive as it is and it will be much faster when they are done with the present upgrades to the suspension etc.
