Any specs on the turbo and intake?

I am going to do a 12A bridge, 48 DCO with a blow through T4/T76 soon and wanted some suggestions.

Damn nice car, thanks for the vids!!

680RWHP12A 10-25-04 04:23 PM

nice run!! whats your 60 foot time?

12at 10-26-04 03:16 AM

Im using a TA45 turbo and the intake is a 13b turbo one with an adaptor plate on it.

680RWHP- The 60' footer was 1.63. There is still some more left in it.

Supper 10-26-04 10:17 AM

Damn. Thats just bad ass.

That thing idling sounds like my snowmobile with headers and reed valves :bigthumb:

I love it. Hopefully mine will sound that way soon as well. What kind of exhaust setup you running?

setzep 10-26-04 06:09 PM

What rear axle do you have in that beast?

12at 10-27-04 03:37 AM

It has a 3.5 inch dump pipe then it goes down to a 3 inch system with 2 straight through mufflers.

The rear end is a shortened hilux differential. I dont know if you got Toyota Hilux's over there. They are a small 4 wheel drive. They are becoming a common conversion over here as they are quite strong and have very big 30 spline axles.

setzep 10-27-04 06:43 PM

It might be the same or similar to a standard Tacoma or toyota pu rear.

I just watched your video again.... MAN what rpm do you launch at?? sounds to be at least 8k?

AJC-13B was launching at over 10k I remember correctly.

12at 10-28-04 01:41 AM

Because of the tall rear tyres and 4.3 diff gears I revved it to 11k off the line. Next time out it will have 4.8 diff gears so I dont have to wring its neck so much.

setzep 10-28-04 05:43 PM

Jesus! And I feel bad setting my rev limit to 8300... BUT I only have a stock port 13b-re

Parastie 10-28-04 05:53 PM

Man that is awesome! Thanks for the vids!

wickedrx2 10-31-04 11:06 AM

thanks for your help

pillage6 10-31-04 11:33 AM

The aussies have all the fun :(

Hopefully within 2 months I will have a blow through bridgeport to video :)

hiboost7 10-31-04 09:35 PM

Fd3BOOST 11-04-04 04:41 PM

What kind of tranny r u running?

rotary800 11-04-04 11:27 PM

what kind of tranny r u running?

12at 11-05-04 12:19 AM

I am using a Microtech LTX8 ecu and the tranny is a Guru dog box. It is a full bridgeport too.

rotary800 11-05-04 08:49 AM

Is it clutchless dog box? How much for it?

12at 11-05-04 08:32 PM

Info on the tranny's can be found here....http://www.gurumotorsports.com/

They are $8900 australian dollars. And yes you can change clutchless. It is awesome to use.

rotary800 11-08-04 01:26 AM

Did u run with LSD for your current Hilux 4.3 rear end?

12at 11-09-04 02:25 AM

No I just welded the spider gears on the diff, It is locked. You cannot buy a full spool for these diffs yet.

rotary800 11-09-04 07:43 AM

Welded the spider gears but it hard to drive. R u looking lock-right lockers for your Hilux diffs? Its 30 spline. Visit this site www.summitracing.com
Click online store select ( drivetrain) click again (Differential & Rear-End, Components & Accessories) and then select (Powertrax Lock-Right Lockers).

May i know did u dyno test your series 3 Rx7?

12at 11-10-04 01:50 AM

I only welded the gears because it is cheap and the lsd's dont last. Guru Motorsports are developing a torsen lsd for the hilux diff's like the ones they make for the mazda diffs. Once that is released I will get one of those.

Yes I dynoed my car, it made 480rwhp.

rotary800 11-10-04 08:05 AM

Awesome!!! How many xxpsi of boost it achieved 480rwhp?

12at 11-11-04 01:18 AM

It was on 23 psi. Boosting it to 30 psi soon!!!

rotary800 11-11-04 03:34 AM

Great!!! 23 to 30psi. what kind apex seal r u running?

TurboIIGuy 11-11-04 04:08 AM

Damn that was just sick insane. I love it, damn.............stop it some more please

kiyoshi 11-11-04 10:23 AM

Thanks for sharing vid. So impressive!!!

wickedrx2 11-12-04 02:21 PM

so many contradictions on this

wickedrx2 11-12-04 02:24 PM

It might additional 4,6 or 8 dowelled.

12at 11-13-04 07:02 PM

wicked rx2- The motor has the full race stud kit (18 studs). For pump fuel I use NGK B10egv's and for C16 I use NGK R6725-115. I dont gap the plugs I use them as they are straight out of the box. And the timing.........Im not telling.

rotary800- im using the stock mazda 3mm 12a turbo seals.

rotary800 11-13-04 10:03 PM

Incredible!!! Stock mazda 3mm seals can withstand high boosting. Did u add more dowell in your motor?

wickedrx2 11-14-04 08:21 AM

thanks for the info, right now i hit 20psi on my motor is a semi pp cosmo block, running a t72 and using a holley 750 on a jaytech manifold, right now the car is only bogging as soom a s u punch it and it clears as soon as boost hits it pushes real hard from there on , i think i might be too much fuel on secondaries, im going to the track this nov 19 , well see how it does

Why is ur timing such a secret?

680RWHP12A 11-15-04 12:49 PM

because it hard to figure out the timing on high h/p turbo motors... nice setup 12at!!!!! good runs

hondah8er 11-15-04 12:53 PM

Fair enough although I would have no probs saying it. There's more to building a high hp car then just timing.

And Robert you say your car makes 700 hp. Where are the 9 sec timeslips to back it and dyno sheets.

timrxmotors 11-15-04 02:06 PM

My 12A turbo has done 11.6 1/4 mile,best terminal 126mph,best 1/8 103mph.It has a GT35r turbo,27 psi boost,and no intercooler! I plan to beat you soon,Mr 12AT.

700 h/p hasnt done shit in me car, i despratly need a tranny!!!!
it dosnt matter how much h/p you make if you cant get it ti the ground... o -well :(

12at 11-17-04 01:38 AM

I think Robert has run a 144 mph trap speed so he definently has the power. He just needs to be able to put it down.

gerbraldy 11-18-04 05:17 PM

..............Wow, that is one bad ass 12A....
