trap speed of 117mph

I borrowed one of those g-tech gauges today and made a few 1/4 passes. I have horrible traction and spin completly through 1st and 2nd gears before actually hooking up, so my 1/4 time sucked, and was a 13.2. So my question is what should I expect with good traction in the 1/4 with 117 trap speed? I may put my old nittos back on to see what kind of results I have.

I did 11.9 @ 117

The reports I have heard say that the G-Tech will measure times pretty close to what you'll get on the strip but that the MPH is consistently a little higher on the G-Tech. The explanation I heard was that the G-Tech gives you your instantaneous MPH at the 1/4 mile point, but that you get an average over the last 100 feet at the track or something like that. I don't know if that is quite right on the explanation, but the difference is supposed to be consistent and thus repeatable.

11.9 @117. Man, thats pretty good.

G-Tech times become much less accurate if you spin the tires at all....
So i wouldn't be to sure of that mph, unless of course your car should be putting down those MPH anyways...

My car dynoed at 365rwhp with 352rwtq. So i'm thinking that with traction a trap speed of 117 should be about normal.

nice speed man. take it to the local track and see what times u can turn with that speed

drag radials - with that much rwhp you should be in the 11s but the trap looks about right
