PP Housings

I am just wondering who makes/sells pp housings.
Also can you make a pp housings or does it have to be cast.

How much is it to drill/sleeve a pp if you can make it out of a regular housings.

Thanks guys

All Im going to say is, if you have to ask, you need to do ALOT more research. A PPorted rotary is something new rotary enthauists should not try until they have the proper knowledge. But for some answers, Racingbeat.com sells the housings, you can also make your own. There are a few threads of people making their own about their success I would read the thread

I made my own housings, its pretty straight forward if you got the proper tools.

I was looking into one of the threads from a member on here a couple years ago.
Looks pretty straight forward.

I also have a crap load of housings to practice on so time to do some experimenting.

The hardest part will be determining what size or port i/d to use and what kind of overlap.

+1
You are going to need a lot more than just the housings to get everything together and working right.

I should have phrased my question a bit better then i had.
I am aware that you can make pp housings with a lathe and bimetal carbide hole saw but there must be one way that is better.

I am fully aware of the modifactions nessecary to make a pp work.

What i really am trying to find is hard numbers from a persons pp setup that works.
I know the mazda housings run this timing but i have no idea where to start in regards to p size.
IO 86° BTDC
IC 75° ABDC
EO 73° BBDC
EC 65° ATDC

So now who has experience experimenting with port size and timing.

This should give you a rough idea of the rotor position/port timing relationship.
http://rotaryengineillustrated.com/h...ts-intake.html
The timing will somewhat determine the port size in that a long port will open early or close late or both (think arc length). The opposite is true for a smaller port.

Oh yeah heres 28 pages of reading for you.

About $350 for a new housing + $500 porting labor = $850 for a P-P housing. Add another $150 or so for a Racing Beat intake manifold, with a Weber IDA bolt pattern. This may sound like a lot of money, but compare it to the factory PP housings.

A new factory PP housing is about $1800 (all in US dollars.)

Nick at Rotary Reliability & Racing in Santa Anna, California built my last set. He has been doing it for over 20 years now.
