Just got the car off the dyno...
 

Final result was 354rwkw (471rwhp) and was on a Dynamic Test Systems dyno, which ready around 15% less than a Dynojet.

Fuel was C16. Boost was 26psi. Plugs were BUR9EQ. A/F was 11.7. Tune was by HITman.

Those plugs seem a little hot to me. what kind of split timming are you running?

10 degrees split. Tried 0 split and lost 10kw.

I am hunting down a 10 heat range in the surface dishcharge type plug....

Cool.. Just wanted to know because we cracked my friends rear plate running 9s and thought it was either the plugs or the 0 split timming..

HITman played with a 13B PP earlier today and tinkered with lead/trailing split and the engine didn't like it at all, it missed actually I think he said. And we lost 10kw doing it on mine....odd :D

I've run the 9EQ's to a bit over 500rwh...and no misfires with A/F in the 11.8-12.2...

I thought you were expecting around 600 hp?26 psi just seems like alot of boost for so little Hp???Still alot though:)

Velcro - DTS dynos read around 15% less than a dynojet. So 471hp on this dyno is around the 560mark on a dynojet.

Looks like someone is going to be having to look for fender flares to get some more meat under the rear :)

What size turbo do you have?

TA45
72 a/r cover with 68mm blade
1.05 exhaust housing with 68mm blade

The newer TA series turbos are larger frame turbos than the generic T04 size turbos.

the motor detonated, otherwise the plate wouldn't have broken. I hear about more people breaking plates with 300-350HP than i heard about guys making 350+hp
Cracking plates seems to be the result of detonation caused by too higher intake charge often the result of a T04 hybridised with the stock compressor running more boost that the octane rating of the fuel allows. More of a case of pre ignition i think

thats approx 650HP at the flywheel for those that cant do the calculations

if you can keep your car on the ground you should be in the low 10's:eek:

Not really, your Kai is like my old T76. His turbo is like a T-70.

The blades are bigger than the Kai I think, but the cover is smaller....

Put some fuel in it first and try some NGK R6725-115 spark plugs at the higher boost you may be impressed. At 26psi you should just be starting to wake that turbocharger up. Congrats!
