Geez, anybody with enough housings and some all thread rod to make long tie bolts could slap together a 4 rotor for show that won't run. What a ******.
anybody who can read.....

A buddy of mine asked Jim Downing how much he wanted for one of the complete 4 rotor engines at his shop. I believe Jim told him $100,000 US. I dont know if he was serious or being sarcastic. They are full race engines so that might be the real price tag.

There's a place in the UK who sells 4 rotor engines and even 6 rotor monsters they claim the 4 rotor runs 600 BHP and the 6 rotor 900 BHP.

I'm guessing a six rotor is for aircraft or boat use.

I didnt see anyone post up a link to that place in nz that makes the 4 rotor engines... before I bought my fd I was GOING to do it... when I called them up they said they wanted somthing like 5k FOR JUST THE KIT... the kit included the e-shaft, longer bolts, 2 center housings that I am shure were modified as well as some other stuff... but it didnt include the rotor housings, rotors, apex seals, rotor kit, manifolds or anything else... it would have cost me ATLEAST 10k to put togather one of those... for nothing... the power some of theese guys are pulling out of there 20b's are just ******* STUIPID... you can buy a 20b motor and have it rebuilt and ported for around 6k and you can actually buy exhaust manifolds for them... I was reading in rx tuner about some guy with a ported motor at 15 lbs of boost I beleave that was makeing 600 and some odd hp and had to stop the dyno at 6100 rpm... he said that he rolled into the throttle at 115 mph and started smokeing up his tires and est he made 700+ whp... I am planning on selling my fd to do a 20b swap somthing that can I can acutally afford... a 4 rotor is unrelistic unless you are donnel trump...

He's serious. The last I heard, they were up to $125,000, so $100,000 is a discount price.

I thought the 4 rotor engines could be bought 'off the shelf' for aircraft? hence with a 13b, some spare housings and a very fancy purchased shaft, you could build one?

Five thousand for that kit is a great deal. Considering that many four rotor e-shafts have sold for over 10grand. Of course quality could be comprimised. Do you know how many peices the Eccentric shaft was?

Anyone who pays 100K for a four rotor setup is getting bent over. No wonder people like Queen St smash repair can afford to gold plate their BMW drag car.

Speaking of a 4 rotor. I would like to build a 24a 4 rotor for my rx7. I would like to keep it carborated tho. So idk how to start beside just working with my 2 rotor i got. Idk how much hourse power i can make off the 12a 85 gsl motor. I will be buying a street port intake manifold and with a 45 weber carb. And once i get the money ill buy a twin screw supercharger to put on. If i would build a 4 rotor 12a +12a =24a with two superchargers. Lol thats gotta have tons of power... is there any way i could just tear 2 12a motors apart and put all 4 rotors together? After re-honning it...
