bridgeport 13bt

Hi ive got a factory s4 rx7 5spd 13bt. everything is as factory. the other day it droped a apex seal on the rear rotor, due to now needing a rebuild i was going to bridgeport it.
Can a 13bt bridgeport run on the factory ECU?
its a street car and i live in new zealand so we run what we bring down here my other road car is 1978 RX7 12APP

They'll probably recommend a piggyback system so you can keep the factory ECU for ignition, but it will be tunable, which is needed on such a radically different amount of air and feel needed, especially at *idle, as you know from your bridgey 6 port 12A.
