3D printed apex seal spring helper tool

Nothing groundbreaking but I thought it'd be an interesting small project.
In the factory video for the Renesis, the assembler has a jig that allows the rotor to be inserted into the housing with the apex seal springs installed.
Before then they had to do it like we do with the rotor in the housing and our hands are already greasy from assembly oil.

I put the model up on Printables. It's 2" long so the rotor can sit on its side while waiting to be installed.

I tested a 1/2" version to check fitment and that worked well enough.
It would work better in metal like the real thing because the bottom seal needed a little prodding to slide with the rotor, or I might try some petroleum jelly on that as well.

That is pretty frickin cool. Seems to work like a piston ring compressor.

Exactly. If there were 7.5" pistons that might work as well, though a bit unwieldy.
