Quick 10 mile Race
 

It all started when i went to long john silvers yesterday for some quick eats, i go in get my food and run into this kid dan who i go to school with, the guy always talks smack saying his car would outrun any car in the valley and he says he never lost a race, well i mean when you race geo storms and early 90's grand ams and such im pretty sure his mothers 02 hyundia elentra will beat them, he calls it his car because he pays for the insurance, the guys a complete douche most of the time, he cant tell the head apart from the block on a car, but anyways so i challenge him to a race to my mothers 98 altima (my mother wont let me buy a car until i get my license this january, i'm shooting for a 94 3kgt or a 3rd gen rx-7,i've come up with 4k in my savings account so far) complety stock running on a quarter of gas and with little brake pads left and a little over 200 thousand miles on it, anyways thought the race would be somewhat fun, so we get in the cars and i pull out of the parking lot quickly and make the light he doesnt so i pull off on the shoulder and put on my 4-ways (the road we are on is route 11 in north eastern pa ,basicly a crowded street sometimes this time it was mild traffic) so i watch him pull out of the parking lot and i jump back on the road and we start off , we're going about 85 then out of nowhere this oldman pulls out 20 feet in front of me so i slam on it, then dan passes me out and is along side the caddy so, im being impatient and i cant wait for this man to turn so i look in the oppossing lane and i see the cars coming they're about 50 to 75 feet away so i go into the oppossing lane and floor it and as soon as im passing out the caddy dan the douche pulls out in front of the caddy freaking me out i floor it even more passing him out (best adrenaline rush i had in along time) but after that we match up again at the red lights and push it until we're tailgating the person infront of us, but other then that i kept the altima usually one or half a car length infront of dans, simply because i was racing my mothers car that had little gas and brake pads, but other then that it was a fun race , only was passed out twice the whole time in 10 miles , once because a caddy pulled out in front of me and second because i wassnt going to attempt to pull a 90 degree turn doing 60 to get on my street.
