Potential race: my fd vs m3

This kid i know has a newer body style m3 completelly stock. My mods include downpipe, catback, intakes, 8lb flyweel, and an rx7store tuned pfc. This kid talks alot of crap :wallbash: and i want to beat him, what are my chances?

RE-Amemiya 09-10-06 02:50 PM

I'd say with those mods your power should be somewhat similar to his stock, as long as you have it tuned properly. Weight should be your advantage, i'd say it will come down to the driver. Good luck!

BMW's are heavy.

You know...even probetalk forums has less bench racing than this freaking kills section.

Pathetic.

SayNoToPistons 09-10-06 06:03 PM

Theyre mid 13's stock... if you think you could reach mid or low 13s.. go for it.

BuffDaddy915 09-10-06 06:18 PM

You can beat him as long as your a good driver. I beat a 2005 M3 on the highway from 40 mph.

I dont know why noone even bothers to read the forum rules:

All threads that ask about an outcome of a race such as "FD vs. Supra" that actually didn't happen are to be placed in that generations specific section if it involves an RX-7, all other "vs." threads that don't involve an RX-7 (and ask about the outcome of a race) should be in the General Automotive section. The kills section is just for kill stories, not for performance questions. We will stop moving threads and just delete them from now on. So if you are wondering why the thread you just posted isn't there anymore, you now know why.
Probably because they aren't enforced anyway....

Bench racing?

Bench Racing= All Talk and never any action...Probably could be called Water Cooler Racing Too :)...No?

You know, like sitting on the side lines and talking about racing rather than actually doing it. Like sitting the bench in a baseball game. Sure you are in the game because you are part of the team, but you aren't actually playing.

LOL...isn't that the truth. I believe you have a very HIGH chance of winning, especially if it's a highway race. My cousin has a BONE STOCK 1991 Nissan 300ZX TT and he has beaten atleast one M3 (though I believe he has beaten several). The guy thought he was modded...lol.

If ur tuned correctly and you can drive its your race to lose. That BMW is going to be way to heavy especially once you hit 3rd and 4th gear.

if they actually come back and post the results within a few days then I don't mind these kinds of threads. It's when they don't even race nor post results that annoys the crap out of me.
