fd vs. supra tt vid...
took my fd out to the track , ran a 12.70 against a supra tt non-seq. full bpu, auto at 18psi. he ran a 13.4, we trapped the same speeds 110mph, check it out.

was the supra brake boosting or something???
i see his rear wheels are moving at the tree unless he has some little midget spinning some spinners behind that block thing lol |
owned...nice run man
|
he tried to look cool by spinning his wheels (or it was his first time at the tree) still that supra wasn't too fast
|
when he was spinning his tires at the light, he said he was trying to get his turbos to spool good. he was runnin non-seq. twins.

original post says clearly they both trapped 110. i'd say bad for both... should be more like 116 or so.
|
his supra is about as fast as my fd we trapped 110mph. my intake temps were 45c, when i dynoed my car it was 22c. so hp was down a bit. i had a 2.0 60' and he had a 2.3 60'. the supra is bpu non-seq. at 18psi, he has 360+whp. btw a 116mph trap is about 340-350whp from most slips i have seen.

why should it be 116 for both. fd needs more than 316 to trap 116mph. full bolton cars with 15psi trap 116mph. |

How did u manage 22C intake temps on a dyno? |
outside temps were 55f , had 2 fans facing the intercooler, 2 rad fans on, and a bag of ice on the intake mani and tb. i plan on turing up the boost once i port and rebuild the motor. after that expecting 375whp at 15psi.
|
Nice run, and nice car too :bigthumb:
|
nice run, he had no chance
|
nice race! :pfanndina
|
Nice race, I'd love to see more.

i made 360 rwhp @ 15psi on stock ports with a conservtive tune of 10.8. add a port job and a tune in the 11s and you are there |
thanks, for all the replys.
matty, was that 360whp at 15psi on stock twins or single? |

from what i have seen on the dyno page, the rx6 makes an average of 15-25whp more then the stock twins. which isnt much more for being single, but it spools just as fast as the seq. twins without the complications.

the guy with the supra goes to my school and im very good friends with him.... his car is auto. and used to have a 3800 stall converter on it... he took it off b/c gas mileage was killing him and his his dd. non seq on those cars gives them a shitty launch. it should be at least a mid 12 second car either with a stall, or back to stock sequential setup. good run tho, steves fd is one of the nicest in tampa.
|
if it was bpu it would have run faster than 13.4.. thats about what those things run stock.
who knows maybe the guy launched bad...and non seq. dosent help any. |
