600HP Supra bows to Turbo Trans Am.
This might interest you LS1-RX7 guys. This what you can do in a somewhat heavy car running low boost. This supra gets walked :) i don't know if this will be moved or not but, enjoy.

Nice video! I don't think the term getting "walked" is appropriate for this situation ^_^

Repost, repost, repost. In the end it's still a white trash pos that's worth $6500 w/mods.

In the end it's still faster than that supra. And if it cost way less to build, so much the better. |

Yay for cars that can go fast in straight lines on highways! I dont just mean the trans-am I mean any high horsepower car. Anybody with money can make a car go fast in a straight line. It takes alot of talent to push the gas pedal and see how fast you go in a straight line....
|
I don't care. Just stating the facts. I think that it's funny that the supra IS the measuring stick for speed and when one loses everybody is happy.

This was just like any other kill thread before you got a 'lil salty about your favorite car loosing. |
ya my dream car is a supra twin turbo . sad that the supra lost , but thats one sick trans am . but i like the supra better because its a japanese car and has probably more potential then the trans am from all the magazines i have read .lol ,and i know american cars tend to brake down alot . i know iver been there . but anyways im sad for the supra
|
Trans-Am's are fast... But IMO they're :gayboy:
It would've sucked to have been the driver of that Supra... Making a 500+hp car feel slow... |

haha, If you read jap car magazines they will lead you to believe the supra is the ultimate car with endless "potential" I can't think of a single reason a supra has more potential than an LS1 anything. |
that was not a Supra guys, look very close, its a civic with a wide body kit.
now this is a slow Supra: right click, save as. |
that was nice. every one knows you build cars for specific race conditions. the supra may have won on a track with shorter sprints and corners or who knows. very nice video.

Just so you know....supra is not my favorite car. It just happens to be on of the fastest cars around. And there is a big difference between a ls1 and 2jz. The 2jz comes stock with forged internals. Which is why you can "bolt" ons and get alot more power. Even with a tt setup on a ls1 you can only run like 5 to 7 psi before you have to break the block and upgrade the rods and pistons. A good friend of mine that lives here just set a new record for a stock engine and tras supra....1017rwhp. With an ls1 you would be at half that at best. |
id still rather take a supra, anyday over that shit.

if you want to go cheaper, use an iron block "LS1" and punch it out to 7 liters...that'll get the turbos spoolin' up nice and quick! but that deviates from the original comaprison anyways...sorry. in all honesty, though, i think a 1000+hp streetcar is pretty ridiculous either way you go about it. Trying to stay on topic here...nice job to the guy in the TA. Happy Halloween! :dark: |
Can you say displacement?
