Also e-brake and practice good car control

 

Im a fan of teh clutch kick and feint. I have yet to put on the set of Tein springs that came as a bonus with the car.

 

New here, but fortunatly not new fo FR car.

I'm waiting my new FD in 1 month but I want to say 1 thing.

With my dad car (shitty 320D E46) or with the oldest 320i E36 a good way (IMHO) to start practice "drift" is simply to drive slowly in 2nd gear and then initiate a LARGE radius turn.

At this point simply kick all the gas and at the same time turn more the steer and feel the car Open/Lose the rear.

Now countersteer and continue to slide.

I normally end here becouse I try these thing in a big, closed place, but not so big to indulge in sliding...but at this point if you relese the throttle and kick it again when rear wheel have grip you can start sliding opposite from the starting direction.

I've tried this only 2 times and 360ed in every case, then don't ask me how to continue the second sliding XD.


BTW my old 320i is around 190Hp NA and the 320D is around 170Hp turbo, then I think that with a FD3S there aren't problem to lose grip.

 

I don't "drift" but when my tires are dying I do like to use the scandinavian flick to have some fun (almost sure it's the same as weight transfer). Would love to learn for fun but I'm more about autox. Can't denie that it's fun to fell that tail go out and feel her slide. (For the love of god don't flame me on a 7 year old thread lol)
