Joe, you are right, but 3rd gens have a tiny radiator(even the Mazda Comp one is tiny). I am in the 180-190* range oil, and water, with my old set-up, the new set-up is more than double the open frontal area. those temps were at ~80 ambient, @ ~325rwhp. Right now I am on two stock oil coolers, I can always "go big" on those if need be. Actually if you consider my co-driver, running in a group directly following mine, those were our max temps after an hour on the track(infineon), with a 5 minute break in the middle. The car is plenty fast at ~325, but with all the Aero, and big tires/wheels, I need a liitle more push(actually, I went widebody, so that I could utilize the higher HP). In a nutshell, heat is the enemy, but I have that one handled.

Carl, when do you anticipate to start competing your car? Cause we may enter a SU FC when you are ready, just to keep you company.

The NASA SU is a shitty class, there is usually only 2-3 cars per weekend. It also runs in race group A, so if you can escape the Pro7's from bashing you up, you'll still be held up by spec miata's or something. Keep in mind, the top SU cars like Porsches are running at least 15sec faster than the fastest group A cars, which is the low1:50's at Thunderhill.

Yea, I know the group, I am in it for fun, I just want a wheel to wheel opportunity that allows me full latitude on my car. I will be done building in January, spend a little time getting used to the car in group 4, and then start racing, so I'd say I'll be competing ~march-april. I'll run HPDEs til then. Hopefully I'll be able to make quick work of most of those guys, and still have paint;) Call me anytime to discuss plans, Carl 707-696-2705

Is this a Turbonetics T66 Turbo?

Yes, it is an undivided .81 T'netics. I have a 4" Vband DP, so I will probably be switching to a divided hotside. A 1.00 ar is good for 500rwhp on a street port, I think I can make that with a smaller housing earlier in the rpms, by optimizing the Manifold. I'll be welding my cage in tomorrow, so we're getting closer :D
