If the price of your car comes down some please let me know :) Also keep me posted on any future upgrades.
Thanks,
Fritz

Hehe, Fritz, you kill me. You could have had it for $25K and been done. As for further mods, all I'm doing is little detail bits here and there as my brain comes up with stuff. See you at the track.

I thought I already offered 25k :) See you in March at VIR.

Hey Fritz, PM "vosko". He's hosting most of the videos on the forum. I don't think he'll have a problem helping you out.

I already sent him a pm but thanks for trying to help. Hopefully Vosko will find a solution for a computer illiterate person such as myself and we can view my ham fisted driving :)

Which event are you going to in June? I go to couple of the track events a month at either Summit or VIR so most likely I'll be there.

Sorry fritz but i really don't know anything about uploading videos. I'm sure i could figure it out but i'm not going to be any help over the phone.

Those picture files are pretty big i was wondering if you have winzip. If you do i can zip all the files and email you them that way. Then you'll have all my pics from this past weekend, which is about 100+. some are pretty good some are just ok. Those are really the only good pics i have of your car. for some reason i have very few of it on track. But i'll email another friend who took a lot of pics with a much nicer camera. I'm sure he'll be helpful.

p.s. i had a white helmet. full face no visor.

Fritz Flynn 02-26-04 08:24 PM

I think I have lots of video with you in the car :)

Since they canceled tomorrows festivities at VIR I'm taking the day off and investing in some software so I can upload, download, compress, etc....

Once I have the winzip or some type of software that will allow me to open zip files I'll let you know and you and your buddy can send me some pics and I can send you some video.

Thanks,
Fritz

Hey Fritz. You can upload those files directly from the links that M's posted.

All you have to do is open the link. Once the image is completely loaded on your computer screen you can just right click on the image and choose "save picture as." Then you just choose where you want to save the file and what you want to call it. You can do this for any 99% of the images that are posted on the internet.

Of course these instructions are only valid if you are using internet explorer as your browser. If you are using some other program then all bets are off.

You can also save different threads on the Forum by going to the "File" menu in internet explorer and choosing "save as." Unfortunately you need to save each page of the thread as a separate file. I have been doing this for some time just so that I have a copy of information that I think will be useful to me later. Some times websites disappear over time and so the information might not be there any more and so I save it to my computer as a backup.

Hey M's......how long have you been at VT. I have never seen you around here before.

I really appreciate the ride and i must say that this was really a thrill ride. He's an excellent driver and the car hauls ass. I was jsut grinning and wanting to go faster even though we were hitting 145 with ease coming out of oak tree. The handling was seemingly comparable to the formula sae car. really fast car even with low boost levels.
Hey Fritz. How did you manage to give M's a ride. For the past few years MSCW has not allowed passenger's unless you are an instructor. My Dad and I used to ride in each others car every once in a while, but they stopped allowing passengers unless you are an instructor. You haven't become an instructor lately right?

- Cody

M's 02-26-04 11:27 PM

yup, fritz is an instructor and sometimes group 3 does ride alongs too.

I'm pretty sure you've seen or at least heard my FC around. I only bring it down here when the weather is nice though. What 7 do you have? I think i talked to you last year in front of the CCVT guys, i am not a fan of them.

Cody,
Thanks for the help with the computer stuff :) Are you and Dean coming to MSCW event in March?

Currently instructing for NASA, Audi club, and Z-club. If you get a chance both the Audi club and z-club give you a decent amount of track time and both groups are run well. NASA is great because the races are going on at the same time but the track time is about 30 mins less per day. However once your in group 3 you can pass anywhere which is a blast. NASA runs a really tight show and will probably be the best learning enviroment because the classroom time is longer and the track time is more intense.

I hope grad school is going well and the job search is proving lucrative :)

See you at track,
Fritz
PS actually mscw is the only group that ask me if someone could ride along while I was driving as a student. Both times John Duff approached me about it. He is really laid back so I'm sure if you or your dad wanted to ride along with each other he would have no problem with it.

Hey Fritz a quick question? What kind of Bridgestone tiers is it on the car? S03?

I used that on my FD this summer and was wery please with them. They lasted about 15 minutes before overheating.

But im going for semi slicks this summer. Bridgestone RE540

JT

Fritz Flynn 02-27-04 08:54 PM

I'm not sure which bridgestone is on the car but they are not s02s or 3s they are harder. One of the best street/track tires is the s03 which is what I would recommend. They have great wet and dry traction on the track and are not too heavy. Any street tire will start getting greasy pretty quick but its also fun to slide around and you can practice your slip angles :)

I have a Black 3rd gen Rx-7. I went to the car show hosted by CCVT for a little while. Some of those guys are okay. I have gone to a few autocrosses and seen them there. They are pretty friendly for the most part.

I didn't know Fritz was an instructor until this thread. You have to understand that I helped introduce Fritz into these high speed driving events a long time ago. I just don't have the cash to do it as often as he does.

I have managed to work up into the intermediate group and probably will move up to the advanced group after 2 or 3 more sessions. I'm not in any big hurry though. I am having fun in the intermediate group just the same.

Wael told me at one point that he had OE Porsche Bridgestone S-02's, I think...
