The Ultima was this one:

The engine is a bit of an iron pig out of a 850i. Not a lot of power to be had in them.

Hey Wouter. I'ts Trent (the red #27). Both Conroy and I plan on racing again this year with the 13B's. I'm upgrading the brakes and he's upgrading his turbo, so it should be a fun event. I'm going to see if I have time to get my G-Force T-5 into the car as well. Last year was good fun even with my brake loss / impact incident with the #24. Looking forward to seeing you on the track (even if it is the back of your car).

cheers,
-Trent

I'll sleep better at night knowing you've upgraded the brakes.lol . You guys were very fast considering how stock your cars were compared to the gt2 z's and stock cars. I think its a great event and hope to be invited back and keep the rotary flag held up high. We should all get together after the race for a celebration of sorts.

I'll feel a lot better with the upgraded brakes. Coming into the first corner after the start/finish I'd start braking halfway down the straight because I wanted to have enought time to pump the brakes up if they went down too far. I think I really found the limits of the stock brake system even with 3" ducting and carbotech pads. The calipers got hot enough to turn the caliper paint on them to ash. I put in 13"x1.25"wilwood Directionally vented GT rotors and 6 piston superlite calipers. The pads are about twice as thick as the rx-7 pads and substantially larger in width and height. I also replaced the stock pedals with the 3 master wilwood setup with a bias bar. Took a lot of cutting and welding to get it in there ;-).

cheers,
-Trent

As always it's a pleasure to see your car out there. I look forward to seeing it back again this year. Registration will be open right quick guys, so keep an eye out. :)
