engine combo
looking to build a 200hp autocross engine, I have done the searches but not many direct answers.
I am staying away from turbo and efi want to keep it simple. My thoughts were BP and 48 IDA. Good idea or bad idea? |

914 probably XP

I wouldn't think that you need to go as far as a BP - a good street port maybe. I know that the club racing folks are getting up to 175 rwhp out of an S5 NA motor with stock ports and internals.
Good luck, -bill |
A good street port and 48IDA should net you 200 rwhp. This is assuming 3" exhaust and good ignition, properly jetted carb etc.

thanks for the replys' fella's yeah I think a good SP would be better for my application:icon_tup:

dumb question I guess:uhh:

Unless it is stretched to the limit, a streetport and IDA isn't usually going to make 200 hp. Top National EP cars are making that, and even a bit more, but most big streeetports are making more like 170, maybe 180 without some serious dyno work and optimization.

I have an MSD 6al on my E Prod 2nd gen. It is a fully prepped National level car.

I am using a SP'ed turbo II with na rotars and a Holley 650 2barrel |
