Custom under body aero
 

I was driving straight mile events and experiencing some unusual drift from the car. I talked to a lot of people at the track and researched some of the faster cars. I decided to create my own under body aero kit. I'm no engineer, but figured this may help, and it did. Down the track at 202.2 it felt solid.

I started out using cardboard templates, and then transferred it to some dibond sign material. Its basically a stack of aluminum, plastic, aluminum. Easy to cut, shape, and install.

It starts in the front tucked into the lip and is 3 pieces that eventually curl up under my rear bumper to create a rear fin.

Looks great! Do you have more photos of the finished product, or the mounting you decided on?

I've thought about doing this as well, but had no idea how to go about it lol. I was imagining you'd have to run it all the way across the bottom of the car, but I guess just blocking off the tunnel works enough huh? That should make it much easier.

I removed the shields on the bottom of the cars years ago and never put them back on. I never understood their benefit, but it seems like this was it. I thought it was for keeping debris out of the open areas under the car.
