Custom First gen Time attack styleFront Diffuser

The race class i race

there is no regulation of what kind of wing or spoiler you can run on the race car

so i want to really use this to improve my lap time

but being a first gen racer. there is not really any aftermarket suppport you can find on the

market

so a lot of time you want to some thing . you need to build your self

so what i think is, if i want to build some thing out, i want to go all out . that i dont regret

here is the result i come out~ this bad boy is 196cm wide n 15 cm long from lip n with build in aero pocket to speed out the air that suppose to increase the down force even more

cant wait to test it out. [ my next race would be at sep 30}

I also mold from it, so if any one is intrest in it can also PM me

You're going to need a pretty massive rear wing to keep it balanced, but I like the initiative you took to make your own parts.

Cool project! Nice work.

Are you allowed to run the wing higher than the roof in Time Attack?

I hope the mounting is well braced. My splitter is hung from the front bumper tubing I replaced my stock bumper with. I have cables linking it up and it is made to pivot from the rear mounts just in front of the front axle. (that way I can run over things and the splitter just bounces up). I can stand on the splitter and I'm 245 Lbs. I did a very rough calculation based on spring compression in pictures at speed and I believe it is generating close to 150 lbs of downforce on the front at 100 mph.

Thanks~

Basicly in my Home country's the Class race. the rule is pretty much open~. most of car i race against is ex WTCC BMW 320 !!
but as for aero those car are self limit to wtcc regulation.. but not for me. i will use what ever i can to keep up !!

with size of front spliter i have, i should be generate over 180lb of down force at end of straightway

so after i mount it . i will try to see if bracket can hold up to 200lb of weight

you have pic of your mount ?

That looks really interesting. I love the integrated front diffuser. Good luck with the work and I really like the look.

Also, what country are you running in? That last photo is pretty hairy running so close to a wall with no barrier. You guys are very brave.
